You don't need to replay the hero part to get the behaviors. (press escape to get back to the main menu) You don't need to replay the hatching part to get the breath either. Basically, each part is separate. If you unlocked the 4 breaths, by getting the 4 components for each in the adolescent part, you can redo the adult part and choose the breath you want to get the behaviors. The crops to get fertile, there are two in the first part of the city. There are houses, people and crops. The crops are the brown patches. To get fire, you will need that torch in the basement, which can be done be pressing z and x at about the same time.
