Nah, IMHO The best teams a cleric, a rogue, a ranger & a mage.
Get the mage a bunch of Poison / Stun / Insta Death % with max'd out Spell Mastery & Lightning Storm, the ranger the same with creatures lore & Hail of Arrows. Rogue jsut needs a really strong weap *Sneak Attacks hitting like 800+ for me* and the Cleric tanks / heals.
Jigokuro, what you do is this:
First row, second slot paveable slot from the spawn point. Pave, build a warrior. thats it. Upgrade him to Energy, Consecrate, Tactician. Spam Generalism. If you have heroes, put them on the rows behind him.
Cause see if you do Consecrate, then you donty have to worry bout the Absorption boss, and since your an archer n ranged its gunna be hard if even possible for any phys guys to get by you. If for some reason they do, thats why you get heroes behind the archer. Plus if you have the archer be your ONLY unit, he can get Unholy Might and own the fina boss in like, 5 hits.
Cinder, what you do is you get a Energy Dexer with Consecrate to become an Archer.
Put him on the first row, bout 3rd down from where they spawn.
Have him be the ONLY soldier.
If you want, get a few heroes on the back lines to catch any leaks, but I doubt you'll have any. It worked for me.

@Baricat - You use your hero & skills.
@Medicham - They're only way too strong at the end game, and your gold gain is based on kills. You dont buy equipment, you buy upgrades for your units.
Or just get like the Barbarians Magic Cannons & Yeti's with some ranged guys like the centaur or the witches / succubi... that works just as well if not better cause you dont gotta wait on cooldowns. :D
