Honestly, you're comparing a flash game to commercial games? You want to know why Torchlight and Diablo 2 are better? They are made by a team of people who design games for a living. I'm speechless in my attempt to express your stupidity.

Way too easy, I would suggest maybe turning it into a sidescroll platform game, then making some changes;
-Health doesn't come back when killing enemies
-Double jump
-Less enemies
-Levels increasing in difficulty
-Some kind of upgrade system
I was playing before, quit so I could go to shower, and now I've come back and all I have is a cloud scene with a big 1 in the upper right corner. wtf.
It really isn't hard to find the message. Read the newspaper and it says that the second letter is the key in the mad hatter's messages. Then look at the note 2 or so shelves higher. The second letter in every row spells 'march'
