Nicely done. You clearly paid attention to feedback on the previous game and made lots of improvements. The unlocking and achievements works well.
What is the purpose of the buttons to repair armor/charge shield/add energy? There does not seem to be an associated cost, so why not just do it automatically?
There are several cool weapons, but it is incredibly difficult to hold onto one that I want for more than a short time with all the weapon drops. Perhaps a skill or shop item could help safeguard a desired weapon?
The flavor text notes should not appear when replaying a mission, they are just distracting at that point.
Please move the avatar shop out of the missions. It is also just a distraction.
Overall, excellent job.
Game should start paused so there is time to read the tutorial.
Adding points to upgrades should require confirmation. It is too easy to accidentally upgrade the wrong thing.

Level 13 needs some work. I got a full belly on the first cat and it very nearly couldn't reach the bottom. It just bounced around for a long time.
