Interesting game. Sadly, the background stuff is too much for my eyes and I can't get a half-decent run in when I keep seeing achievements pop up mid-game coupled with flashing lights, balloons, birds, planes, and other various background changes. It really makes my eyes ache and it actually just gave me a headache.
Holy crap, this game is so, so, so unfun. What's with the circle thing? That was a mistake in itself. The layout sucks, and the music is crap in story mode.
This is a pretty good game, but the impossible mode is not impossible at all. Sure, it is hard, but it is only somewhat difficult because the enemies have a massive spike in their health points. That is what I like to call 'fake difficulty.' If you want it to be impossible, try to mix it up and make it an ACTUAL challenge. Buffing their hitpoints by an insane amount does not make a campaign replay very fun and is a cheap way to add extra content to the game. It was moderately, and I mean a nominal amount of fun initially, but it just got way too boring after the first few levels in impossible mode. Survival mode was quite simple and you can easily go 1 minute with all upgrades by doing nothing. The curve on it starts very low and then kind of exponentially spikes up, another thing I think is wrong with the game. Good try, but even with achievements, there is still very little content to be had here. I'll give a lowly 2/5 for this.
1/5 for poor, irritating music when the game first loads. If you want us to play your game, keep the bad music until later, please. Or, just, not upload it in your .swf at all? :)
This would be sort of cool if like, you know, your cannon's movement speed and gun firing abilities weren't so slow. Oh, and it's annoying how the bugs are already like 1/4 of the way on the screen before you can even see the word you have to type to kill them. Levels go too slow, bugs are nothing special, and this has little appeal to me. For someone who can actively type above one hundred words per minute and still find this pretty challenging because of poor layout, you know the issue is not so much with your user base as it is with your development of the game. Good try, 1/5.
Bad concept, bad execution. As theo1 said, "the train is always attached to the tracks, all this flying about stuff is not only annoying, it's overtly unrealistic and adds an unnecessary hardship to the game that made me want to quit." This statement holds true for at least me, and the physics are TERRIBLE. I want to beat the game, but I can't bear it if it does this.
The obstacles repeat like every 5 or so seconds; that does not make this a very fun game. I appreciate the effort, but up and down to control the helicopter is very abnormal and hard to adjust to. The background didn't really flow smoothly, and it was dark and dull. Highly nonreplayable, I think. Also, agreed with Melehagan: if you're not going to tell us ALL the instructions to the game, you are going to set your players up to be frustrated. 1/5
Usually I dislike games that have music at the title screen, but this is very calming and serene. I really do appreciate that. Pretty cool in-game action, too! Looks fun. 4/5
The initial screen with red text on a blue background is very aggravating on the eyes. Please think about your audience more if you WANT more game plays.
Very bad compared to other games in this genre. The music is horrible, repetitive, and the game carelessly deleted my save file I spent a little bit of time working on. There are too many high-pitched noises which hurt my ears, and the experience is quite unfun. Terribly executed and a poor job, BerzerkStudio, I'm ashamed.
A mute button for this crappy, repetitive music would be highly appreciated. Oh, and the "HO HO HO!" is way too loud. Almost kill my eardrums at the end of each level. Very unenjoyable experience, please improve on this.
I'm sorry if this has already been said, but if you check: http://i44.tinypic.com/286uws1.jpg you can see the solution for Bonus Room 1. It took me a while to figure out on my own, but I'm glad I was able to. :)
