I suck at this game. Not because of the difficulty of the puzzles or the speed of the sugar. But for one simple reason. I apparently can't draw a straight line. Otherwise, fun game.
I normally don't like tower defense games, but throwing in the rpg elements made it great. I would have played this all the way through and it probably would have been one of my favorites. But it's only a demo, so sadly I'll probably forget about it and move onto lesser, yet more complete, games on Kongregate. Such a shame.
There's a lot of hidden costs in this game, especially as you keep upgrading. As an example, if you want to upgrade a Lvl 7 Twig Snapper to Lvl 8, it'll cost you 135,000 pebbles and 24 hours. But since it's offline for 24 hours, that means you're also giving up 10,440 twigs/hour, or 250,560 twigs. And since the upgrade only gives you an additional 2,880 twigs/hour, it'd take almost 4 days to make up for the twig production you lost.
What's the point of having a pre-game tutorial at the beginning if you're going to get an in-game tutorial as you upgrade weapons? I didn't think I needed to be reminded about the height and wind factors.
Great game. 5/5. 1 small complaint: It'd be nice if you couldn't hit Reload when your weapon is in the process of reloading. Too many times I'd instinctively hit R when changing to another weapon or when I'd run out of ammo, only to restart the reloading process.
Not bad. Could use some in-game achievements though. You know, the usual: Get a x100 combo, Buy all of the upgrades, Reach the top of the screen, etc. Just some kind of goals to make us want to keep playing.
Is there even a point to leveling up in this game? After level 10 you don't get any achievements for it, it doesn't give you more total energy or stamina, it doesn't make your deck stronger...
