How exactly are matches determined between players? I'm being plundered by people with armies more than twice the size of my own. And to make matters even worse, there doesn't seem to be any kind of cooldown timer between attacks, meaning that when I stepped away from the game for a few hours, I came back to find that I had been attacked more than a dozen times (by the same person) and been completely drained of all resources. At the least, some small portion of my resources should be off limits, so that I can at least do SOMETHING when I come back to the game. As it is now, my progress has been completely halted, and I can't possibly advance any further due to a lack of resources. I see no reason to even bother playing at this point.

Thank you for the comment. You are matched by number of trophies. We do searches successively in ranges (-10/+10%, -20/+20%, ...) but if there is not enough players, like it's the case so far, it's possible that you are attacked by a player with more or less trophies than you. After an attack you have an immunity for 15 minutes and a part of your resources are always protected. It's also possible to build a "Safe Haven" to protect more resources. If you have any advices, we are open to any proposition to improve the system.

I only have one issue with this game, but it is a large enough issue that it will become more and more frustrating until I quit. The lack of inventory space is such a ridiculous tactic to try making a quick buck that it does a pretty good job of ruining the entire game for me. If I ONLY pick up gems, I get less than half of the gems from a single run. If I ONLY pick up armor, I get less than half of the armor from a single run. Add in potions, food, drink, and crafting materials... it's absurd how much stuff gets left behind. And let's talk about the bank. 4 slots? I get that much just for crafting materials in one run. 4 slots is almost negligible... but hey, another opportunity to buy more space! -_- A few tips that could help with this... -Make gems stack -Make same pieces of gear stack -Increase the base inventory space -Increase the base bank space -Reduce the # of items needed at the blacksmith -Remove the 20 stack limit, or at least raise it much higher

Developer response from RumbleGames

Thanks for the feedback, Krefe. We do offer some opportunities to earn quite a few gems in-game as well -- inventory and vault space are pretty popular choices for our players when it comes to using the gems that they earn (through mastery, quests, selling set items, and so on), especially those who wish to play for free. =)

I liked it, but have one complaint. The rage meter should have been balanced out a bit more, because moves like Hell's Drill or Heaven's Blade, which are used to boost the strength of the next move, are wasted in the later upgrades because of how high the rage cost is. Having to waste that boost on a common attack is rather disappointing, especially when I could have kept hell's drill and cursed twin at lower levels and gotten 34kish off of cursed twin alone. And while combining Hell's Drill and Moon Beam (both at lvl 10) is a very effective way to gain health... there's no point in healing for 800 health when you can only have 470.

So... I beat the wizard in the tower, as well as all of the monsters and the demon boss. But I can't move on to the next area. After the fight with the wizard, it showed the story text that you see when you first start the map. Am I missing something, or is do I have to contact someone to have the issue fixed?

"When Beastman Warrior is depleted, deal 1 weapon damage." Shouldn't our shields absorb that damage? If I'm standing there with a shield that absorbs 5 damage, I'm pretty certain it should hold out against 1 weapon damage... Granted, that one damage isn't much to worry about since half the time I'm able to deal 7+ damage in a single hit, and that's after their absorption, but it's just a mechanic that needs a little correction/different wording.

So... can we get a little more information about the turret? How much damage it does, how long it remains operational after each hack, and what benefits we can get from upgrading it? Also, the ability to place barricades in a larger area would be VERY useful. I can't find a way to effectively implement the turret because the zombies will eventually simply mob up after my soldiers have wasted the majority of their ammo shooting the cars that the zombies are behind, and the soldiers don't have time to reload before being eaten.

Turret and radar are easter eggs, taking in consideration that our easter egg ideea was not saw the way it scould we are now thinking of completley removing the turet , radar and maybe even build menu from the game. Thank you for feedback

Mmk... just defeated the werewolf mother, and now I'm done. I'm not going to continue through another 5 islands exactly like the two I just cleared. Just... no. There are so many fights that it just wears you down to the point where you're simply too bored to continue. The only challenge involved in this game is patience. It stops being fun almost as soon as it starts, it isn't entertaining, and it isn't challenging. In fact, it from the comments I've seen it gets even easier as you go on. If you want this game to be good, take out all of the mandatory fights. Just have an option to continue to the next castle, or kill monsters that are your level. Have an option to skip battle animation. Speed up the text in cut scenes. Double, possibly even triple, the amount of damage that monsters do. Fix mobs so they don't cleanse after casting regenerate. Maybe then it'll be worth playing for a little bit, but still not for the amount of time it would take to play the whole thing as it is.

This game is just too long... Level 15 on Archfin, and I haven't even reached the werewolf mother yet. The game was fun at first, but stopped being so after the first island was done. If each island had, say, 1/5 of the fights that it does then maybe it wouldn't be so tedious, and the repeatable fights would actually serve a purpose. Also, by starting out with the "Blood Siphon" spell and getting all of the "Magic Training" buffs, there isn't any challenge. It's hitting harder than my regular attack does, while at the same time keeping me at full health regardless of what enemy I'm fighting. I like the castle siege battles, except for one minor detail. I have a limited amount of moves each turn, while the enemy can attack with every unit they control. For what little content there is, I'd expect a game that lasts maybe an hour... definitely not as long as this one is taking.

Love the game! I'll definitely be waiting for the sequel. Also, a tip for anyone playing a mage: Build up to the "Swarm Lord" talent as quickly as possible, then build to get the +15% magic talent. Once Rogan gets his "Slam" ability, he stuns the entire group, leaving you free to cast "Swarm Lord," causing massive damage. The bleed damage=the initial damage done, so the higher your magic, the better. When I leveled my mage, I put 2 points in magic, 1 in cons. After reaching 100 health, focus entirely on magic. End result? Wiping out groups of 3-4 enemies by the end of turn 2. On a side note... I'm amazed that this game was a solo project O_O

I see that the game was last updated in April to exclude gold from being a cost to level up heroes, to make heroes recruitment costs stay the same, and to make achievements benefit all heroes. So far, I've had to spend gold every time I try to level up a hero, and the recruitment cost keeps going up. I haven't played far enough to unlock any achievements, but seeing as how 2/3 of the issues haven't been fixed yet... I'd rather not waste my time on it. I like the game, but the gold curve is just insane. Now then, for a few suggestions. Would it be possible to have multiple health pools? If so, then it would be possible to effectively establish traps with two melee in the front holding the enemy so that 2 range in the back can make quick work of them. With only 1 health pool, this strategy works just fine until the melee hero on the other side from the health pool needs to heal...then he/she has to walk all the way around the map twice, basically missing out on an entire wave fight.

I think I've found a glitch. Items that give +x HP/level can be put on a hero and then sold, and yet the hero retains the bonus. The dragon is a lot less threatening when being hacked down by a paladin and a wizard with over 1k health each.

While this game is entertaining, it isn't as challenging, quite as fun, or engaging as the previous Epic War games. I enjoyed a few of the things introduced in this release, such as the ability to spawn buildings and each unit earning its own exp. Also, the accessories were another interesting feature, though somewhat limited. In the next game, I think it would be interesting to see some of the features of this game (exp, accessories, buildings, special moves for certain unites) blended in with the old style where we have to defend our castle and destroy the enemy castle. Also, I would like to see the accessories idea explored a little more thoroughly. How about some items to increase population, or mana regen? Lastly, I hope that in the future the story line will be longer and the maps much larger.

@blastysw I still stand by what I say about weapon effects being worthless. In a fight where I'm constantly hitting for 30+ on my normal attack, those effects are nothing. Like a small thorn too small to even pierce the skin. Also, I suggest that you look into a different strategy... 300 health/mana and only being able to fight once before leaving and resting means that the mystery dungeon will take a VERY long time for you. I'm not trying to be rude, but building for hit chance and damage boosts will get you much farther (and much faster) than stacking health and mana.

Weapon effects such as burn, bleed, etc. are worthless. Even if you stacked nothing but % chances to cause them the amount of damage they do isn't worth the effort. Also, with all the stuff that was removed since the first chapter, what little remains should have been fixed. This is a flash game. Tell me, how can this game on its own lag more than WoW with high settings while playing itunes, running facebook, downloading youtube videos, AND skyping all at once? Please take the time to address some of your major issues before releasing the next chapter. We will be more than happy to wait for a higher quality game. I like the storyline, but the gameplay itself was exactly the same as the last chapter, with no issues fixed. Having the information in-game in the first chapter was nice, but I can understand making a wiki to put it on to make room for other improvements. The problem is, I don't see what improvements, if any, were made at all.
