Yo, most of the bugs mentioned have been fixed now. I'll fix a few more and then update the file in a few days. You guys should take it easy until then.
Yesssss. Wasn't expecting a sequel, but I really wanted one!
My only complaint so far is that the image compression is pretty noticeable, but otherwise I'm having a great time with the game.

some tips I found useful:
Try to get to the middle of the screen when using a bomb so you don't waste any of it, and keep shooting at large groups of enemies even after bombing, as some will probably survive.
Try always moving round the level along the edges in the same direction, so you're never forced to go back where the enemies are shooting.
Never bomb unless you're cornered. You never know when you'll need it.
Take out the purple guys and the red eyes quickly.
Small bullets aren't very dangerous, and you shouldn't make a great effort to dodge just one. Focus on dodging large groups of bullets.
Just updated it to version 1.4:
-Level 17-A has some extra platforms.
-The Foe Rush gives you some pots towards the end.
-Red bats and dark monoliths have had their HP and contact damage reduced a bit.
-Fixed a wee bug with saving/loading remapped keys.
Uh oh, I think Greg used Level Progress instead of Game Progress for the All Cats go to Heaven Badge. Basically bonus levels count towards it, when they're not supposed to. Oh well.
Version 0.8 uploaded! Viking Monoliths have a 50% lower chance of freezing you (except on Epic), Cosmic Monolith's beam does 30% less damage, Dragon has 10% less HP and absorbs less HP from fire and poison attacks, Soul Eater has been nerfed a bit, Poison does a bit less damage to foes, the Nurse Hat can now be found in the forest (you won't get it if you've already opened the chests), and ads for the soundtrack CD have been added. Tell me if all of those changes work properly.
