To make your own weapons you build a forge and train blacksmithing at the school eventually it will say do you wish to make a weapon and if you have 200 gold you can attempt to make a weapon it will take a while to make good weapons though
I will admit that the game has improved alot but It has also made it more confusing unlocking the dungeons should be alot easier to earn and it need a extensive walkthrough
