Are you using the newest version? We've tested it on an older one and the current build (64.0) and worked on both. Someone has already reported a problem with a custom MVPS file. If it changes the domain name locally or denies access to Kongregate APIs etc., the game will probably not work. Clicking Esc and then verifying that you want to quit, automatically saves your progress. Meanwhile, you don't really quit if you are on Kongregate (but you quit if you are on a mobile device).
This game is ridiculously slow. I made it to Area 1 town 9 and have been stuck here for days now.
Not sure what my motivation to play is if I cannot actually do anything but buy a couple more levels and click the X2 button.
I let it sit for 12+ hours and come back to 1 upgrade and I can't even reset when I want to possibly get a boost.

Hi LacklusterP... The first cities are relatively very easy, as it is the learning curve. About on city 9 there is the first difficulty. But it is not something very hard. Most of the players managed to pass through city 9 and 10 in about 2 days. I really don't think it can take you much more than this. I would like to mention that it is recommended to activate the piano and Lulu the dancer. Combined they give you 10x speed boost. Also you should not underestimate the patent cards. I don't know how many you already have, but most of the players when they reach city 9 they have about 50 cards. The average difficulty is the same in all 3 first areas of the game (180 cities). Of course there are some cities which are hard. The average speed is about 24 days per area (60 cities). This is about 2 and a half city per day, which is a satisfying speed. Also, you can always ask the other players in the chat room how they managed. We wish you a fast and interesting trip to the west.
