I really liked this game. In my opinion, don't add music--I liked it without music. It adds to the theme portrayed at the beginning of the game: alone, out-of-place, & desolate. I also liked how the entire game had a "Metroid" feel to it. I can think of only two minor improvements you could make: When you get the jet pack and fly underwater it would change the color of the fire from shades of red to shades of blue. This way it would seem like the jet pack has turned into some sort of hydro pack (because you can't create fire in water...not that I'm aware of. If so, not for long, lol). 2). There could be an upgrade for the gun. Altogether, this has great potential and hats off to the creator. I love pixel games. :)
Wow, what a great game! You should add some Police/Army zombies--like the zombine off of Half-Life 2. It's cool that all the rifles shoot in bursts to save bullets but it kinda takes some of the fun out of it. Also, you should probably just have the notes stating "Anna was not found at..." to "There were no survivors at...". Because I highly doubt that the entire city has an odd fascination with her. Maybe you could even have an antagonist who kidnaps his daughter? It could happen.
