Hiya! I've read a few of the comments, and I agree, nice game you've made there. I was wondering, how much and for how long are you planning on updating the game with new content, like the selective breeding?
Thanks a lot! The game is going to be updated for a good amount of time. I already have so much to do on my hands! The Selective Breeding update is going to change the active play style and make it a lot more rewarding and fun. More on that later ;)
More specifically on the subject of improvements, you need to add more possibilities of upgrades, or things for the player to do; as it is, you can't keep your public's attention long enough on the levelling of the spells between the moments it gets interesting (it's particularly true when you reach around lvl 30+). Look at all the great Idle games currently existing, like Realm Grinder, AdCap or Clicker Heroes. You'll find something to stuff the gameplay in an elegant way if you try, I'm sure of it.
Don't desperate, but hear your player's feedback. They're your playtesters, the only way to maybe grasp something about your creation that yourself may miss. We're sincerely behind you.
I'll say just like Ethismos: there are still very big issues in this game, even after the 3 games. You're on something, I won't deny that, and you could very well make something great of it. Spell Idle needs to make its goals more precise, more attainable, but particularly, more accessible (by which I mean you must make it easy to understand what is expected of the player and how he will attain his goal; I don't mean to handhold the player, the gameplay alone can be a good guide if arranged accordingly). The interface itself could be a little more intuitive in that measure, even if there's a definitive upgrade since the previous IS.
Well it's not half bad for a beginning game, but you should probably have waited, at the very least, for another 3-4 months of development before making it public. first impression is everything in releasing a game, even a small one.
Also, to have a very clear overview of every upgrade affecting a gun and what is the current status of every weapon (how much DPS, speed, number of projectiles, crit. chance, etc) would help a lot with reading the game better.
It would be a great addition to the game to allow the player, for the idle mode, to choose the priority among the targeted blocks. This could be done with one or a few buttons giving a choice between the strongest blocks, the weakest ones, the ones closer to the crosshairs, etc. Or it's already a thing and I haven't noticed it yet. Anyway, that was my feedback.
It currently targets in the following order: Front to Back, Top to Bottom, Left to Right, Easiest to Hardest. We experimented with several variations but landed on this one for a few reasons. It targets easiest to hardest so that if you're stuck on a boss it may still do some damage giving you some gold which wouldn't happen if it was targeting the hardest. It targets from front to back so that you could always see the block that was being targeted, otherwise it could be hidden behind other blocks making it seem like blocks aren't being targeted, etc.
Hey XMMX99. Nice game you got there, well rounded, you obviously did your homework on how incremental games work. I actually see potential in it (which is rare), although there are two main faults to the game.
First, the pace is slow. It's okay, it's how the game is designed, but you need to make sure the players gets that very quickly too. I found it somewhat annoying until I started unlocking some significant upgrades with the factory and the lab, but not everybody is that patient. People must know what to expect. Which directly leads me to my second point, the game lacks information transparency. You understand how the game mechanics interact between them, but not necessarily the player. I'll let that article below explain what I mean; it talks about video games in general, but flash games can absolutely benefit from it. Apart from that, good job and keep up the good work!

I wish you could get gems without gambling at every egg. Considering that sometimes I get 10 gems in less than an hour and other times I can't find a single one in 2 or 3 days, it's really annoying.
