So basically the object of the game is to upgrade your melee attack and not get bored or curious and upgrade anything else at all ever? This has got to be the absolute worst implementation of an upgrade system I've ever seen. "Zombie takes 5 shots to kill, I'd better upgrade my gun some! ...zombie now takes 8 shots to kill..."
I feel like such a fan boy. I'm meticulously going thru the whole thing clicking and reading and generally checking everything out while waiting (not so patiently) for the actual game.
Just a reminder, be sure to save Often! I've had several times where it says I've been attacked by bandits, and it turns out to be another caravan, or the police or desert patrol if I'm in their territory. Kinda jacks up your game if you win those fights...
Still one of my all time favorites tho!!
Hrmm...this seems to be a pretty standard incarnation of this genre. 3/5 OoooOh! Nice little story twist! 4/5 Other game modes + secret mode which meshes nicely with the story line?!? OMFWOW!! 5/5!!
So basically, the object of the game is to A: Not get bored while playing the same levels over and over, while using basically the same strategy on each one, or B: Find or write an effective bot program.
Great game! A well deserved 5/5! My favorite part is how my units have almost the exact same AI as they did in Infectionator! I loved how they roamed around randomly no matter what I tried to do, the various "commands" I could give them were exactly as effective as just shouting at my monitor!
...5/5 despite the AI =)
Sorry, I gave it a chance, but I still don't see why everyone thinks Nerdook's games are so great. They're okay, don't get me wrong. A good solid 3/5 everytime, just...not anything special. Sorry. Please proceed to downrate the crap outta this, but thats the only way I can feel about this, and the other Nerdook games.
Played it, bought it, love it. No regrets. More entertaining than paying to go to the movies, and cheaper. Wtf is the big deal about paying for things you like? Or do we just not like actively participating in supporting great developers? Worth every penny.
Hope you enjoyed playing it, too! :)
