Options are in the top right once you start playing. You can change difficulty and shooting style.
You can change your aiming style in the options. Auto aim is the easiest.

It's surprising how much people are struggling. The solution to everything is to either jump on things or stack things on each other.

Moonbase + Flamethrowers beats everything
Buy and evacuate to Moonbase ASAP. Then Get Autorifles or flamethrowers. You'll easily beat any attackers then.
Moonbase and auto-rifles/flamethrowers beats everything. You don't need any of the other bases or weapons.
