To elaborate more on why an "Appearance Set" would be stupid is that due to its easy acquisition, everyone would have them and nobody but noobs would wear them. To show of their "733t g4m1ng sk177s" many people would wear the harder to obtain real items instead of the ones made purely for appearance.
An appearance set would be stupid because all sets look freaking awesome anyway and you can determine a person's level off of there gear, with appearance set you can't. If anything gold should be used for everything it is now (low level troops, gear etc) AND sp (like 800mil is 2 skill points) that's all gold really needs to gain value.

first of all forzay1, there are more "serious" looking familiars, but usually, familiars are they either for style, or to show off how much damage you did to a wr. I also can't understand what you are saying in your first comment.
I honestly don't care about that cyr, i'm just sick of everyone aimlessly complaining. If they want to get planet coins tell the the devs, not other players. Then after the devs say no maybe they will shuttup.
If you guys REALLY want more uses for gold and REALLY want easier ways to acquire planet coins, bitching about it on the kongregate comments section won't help. Get on the dotd forums and start a thread, or write in an existing one. Then something MIGHT actually happen.
