Well, this is the first game on this week's board that I even bothered to attempt a full playthrough at. The game itself is well-done, and everything works as it should. The graphics are a bit over standard level for this sort of game, which is good. No glitches so far, after almost half-way through all of the levels. Difficulty ramp is actually very good, as I found myself thinking longer each level, trying to either find the way to complete the level, or gain the maximum amount of points in it. Overall, this game gets a 4/5 from me. This is probably one of the only puzzle games that will.
Being your first game, I'll try to go easy on you. A game like this simply won't get a lot of positive attention, mainly because it takes more effort than most other games on Kongregate, but also because it gets insanely repetitive and boring after a while. Making something more interesting would surely help get better attention. However, due to the low level of quality put into this one, I cannot give it above a 2/5. Good luck on any future games that you make.
I was going to be nice, since this is your first game, but because of the whole "Rate it five stars" bit, I'll go all-out. To get five stars from anyone, this type of game is out of the question. Not to mention more than one level, and clear objectives. The graphics here are bad, even for a game like this. Also, don't even make note of any ways to cheat. It ruins the entire point of the game. 1/5 for no effort at all.
I absolutely love the full version of Portal. Even though it is short as hell. This game doesn't stray too far from the Portal story, either. The core elements are all still there; Create Portals, solve physic-based puzzles, and avoid all means of death thrown at you. The console is also a nice bonus. I'll give it a 4/5, only because there are a few glitches due to the level of physics. Also, "createturret" is an epic console command to play with.
This was a simple yet decent game. The controls are extremely easy to learn and work with, and the concept is original. Overall, it was a very short game, though. I'll give it a 4/5, for originality and simplicity.
This was a very interesting game. First it had graphics so bad, that I wanted to slam my head against a wall. Then they were good. It also had awful text. Then it got better. First I would've rated it 1/5. But I'll give it a 4/5 now. Hooray for upgrades!
I've never liked this sort of game. This one is no different. I simply watched the walkthrough, as I have no intention of wasting my time trying to find everything in a game such as this. The story is pretty basic. Based on the other comments here, it seems pretty glitchy. Graphics weren't exactly top-notch, either. 3/5 for much effort, though. I'd give a 2.5/5, but Kongregate hasn't reached that level of rating yet.
When I first played this game so many months ago, I loved it. Even now, while playing it again to review it, I still like it. The gameplay is solid, for the most part. Turrets saved my hide a few times during the bulk of the game, and even more towards the end. The concept is also something I quite enjoyed. Overall, I'll give this game a 4/5. Great work.
For a game type that's been made many times over already, I thought this game would at least deliver the basics. However, it barely seems to do that. The graphics are average for this type of game, as well as the difficulty. However, there simply isn't enough to make me give this game a good rating. No powerups, a small number of maps, and it all gets too repetitive after a while. 2/5, try turning this into an iPhone game, as it seems to be on par with the level of difficulty and length for those.
I like this game so far. The graphics aren't horrible for an alpha test, and the gameplay is solid. However, I won't be rating this game until it hits Beta, at the very least. Keep up the good work.
This was one of those games where I thought to myself, "Hey, self. Come back later and see if it's any better." I want to shoot myself for it now. This game is something that switched out good potential for cash grabbing. The storyline is probably a lot better than it sounds, yes. But I lost any interest I had after the first quest. The graphics could've been a lot better for a game like this. The battle setup/animations are somehow worse. I'd like to give this game a real try, but due to those issues, I'm stamping a 2/5 on this for lack of effort.
This game just hit the top 5 weekly board, so I thought I'd see if it's any good. I regret it. At first I thought this game was a joke, but sadly it's not. The font used for changeable text is horrible, to start. The graphics in-game aren't even average. Tower setup is a joke, at least, and the "hero" idea was shot to hell here. 2/5 for effort, though. It had a lot of potential. If a continuation is made, try to fix at least some of these flaws.
This is one of the few game types I truly enjoy. The constant goals were something I actually enjoyed building up to, and the abilities were something I was constantly trying to get. Even the graphics were great. The NPCs were a fun addition, as well as the different areas they were put into. This was truly an outstanding game. However, for badges' sake, a save feature should have been implemented. 5/5, Well done.
