I liked it, although as others have said it was a bit too short. In particular, I would have liked to see more story (the client, the other detective who knocked you out, but seemed to want you to escape, etc.)
@Biasoli - After copying down the arrows, and studying the safe for a minute, I was able to figure out the combination using those arrows, with no errors and no walkthrough used.
Not a fan of the inventory covering whatever hotspot. I'd prefer to see a closeup of the hotspot and figure out what I need to work with it. Right now it's just "Hotspot, okay, let's see which item in the inventory goes there." That really isn't puzzle solving.
A. Am I the only one with Monty Python's Philosophers' Song running through my head (Immanuel Kant was a real pissant...)
B. I wish John Calvin was in there somewhere (I know, a theologian, not a philosopher...) - Calvin and Hobbes, get it? ;)
Rated 2/5 because of bugs/no save point on reloading the game. Even with the glitches, if it would let you reload and return you to the last save point, I would keep playing. As it is, I'm giving up on it. A shame, it seemed fun.
Not dripping with gore like some horror games, and if you don't turn the lights off you won't see any at all. The achievements button doesn't seem to work, maybe it's tied to another site. That lessens the replay value a bit, since we can't see which achievements and endings we've done.
Hmm, I minimized the window (from a full screen firefox window), and the interface disappeared. Also, what about making the horse racing a percentage of your gold - say 1-10%, and the winnings would be 5X that or so. That way new kings could do it for a small amount, and more experienced kings would still find it worthwhile (and a risk if they lost.) At first, I couldn't get it to load because "The Unity Webplayer failed to update", but I think that is more Unity than your game. I couldn't play other games like Holyday City either.
I took a time to review the resolutions problem and in the next update it will be fixed, thanks for reporting. But I wanted to thank you for the bet idea, really, this is very nice. The value of the bet will be always a % value of what you have(maybe 1% or 2%), and you will always earn 5x what you bet.I hope you have a good game and thanks for playing!
The thing I hate about these is that you can't use tools more than once... Screwdriver? I'm going to throw it away after I unscrew a big piece of metal. After I use the metal as a prybar, I obviously won't need it for anything else (like cutting a tree with the sharp edge, digging, or cooking a fish on it.)
Too short, too simple (the kid gives you a fishing pole, you don't even have to make one out of the club or something.) It's just a rehash of their other escape games with a different theme. - 2/5
Interesting concept, but the glitches make it not much fun. (A.) The fishing pole spawns back at the starting beach, which means a slog if I drop it in the water. (B.) I beat the race on foot, and the guy gave me the tissue but the quest didn't complete since I was supposed to build a vehicle. (C.) the Lumberjack (spelled Luberjack! Help I need an adult!) only took one fish, and wouldn't complete his quest. NOTE: You can climb over the starting mountains and get to town, but the bomb is just fire (from your ship) + energy.
It's an interesting take on the idle genre. Here are my thoughts: 1. The king needs no more to mine - since I hadn't done any armies or nocturne stuff, I get 0 gold a second at night and can't click, so I can do nothing until morning. 2. The researches icon blocked Pickaxe III, so I couldn't see how many I had. 3. The screen is cluttered with upgrades, how about tabs that switch to one (manual clicking, researches, buildings, armies, etc.) 4. Check resolutions (zoom in view tab of browser) 5. Options menu (save, import, export, music on/off, etc.)
Thanks for the tips!In this new update, the list of buildings/researches/upgrades is in tabs, as you said. Also, the gold/click is back, so you will not have any problems in getting gold during the night. You can also earn money with your transport station!
We have a mute button in the left side of the "Click to mine" button.About the save, the game is autosaved in your browser only.Working in an efficient way to store data right now, so people will be able to import and export their game to other browsers.
I hope I explained everything, but feel free to ask again if you have more doubts. Thanks for playing and good game!
I, like many others, ran into the menu/clock puzzle glitch that just gives a dark screen without giving the key. It's very disappointing to spend a couple of hours on this and not be able to finish it. Also, better navigation would help, for instance, in the first hall to the right, the picture shows windows, but yet you go right again into an office. As others have mentioned, you shouldn't have to click the window to close after getting a crystal, it's just a needless extra step. Inventory is clunky too, you should read the journal by clicking on it instead of having to drag it to the magnifying glass.
Not a fan of the scrolling race. It's not like the bottom of the cave is filling up with lava or anything. If it scrolled as you jumped higher, but didn't progress until you climbed again it would be better. You could still die if you fell off the bottom of the screen.
Too many glitches. First, I could only climb on the left block in the jeep level, instead of loading it into the jeep. Second, at the "hands up" scene, I got shot twice and then couldn't do anything. Third, after I first started driving the jeep (BEFORE the first problem but in a later restart), it just drove endlessly over a plain, with no other buildings.
I didn't ask the barman about the girl, and now all I see is his shop. If he has important dialogue, there should be an option for "talk" or for "shop"
