After beating a game, I have this thing about maxing out stuff. So, I wanted to purchase things and successfully gave the weakest kick possible...made it to RIP...Not hard enough!!!
Either the developer likes putting a lot of misleading stuff on the screen and in the toolbox, or doesn't have the ability to see that he/she has allowed ridiculously easy alternate solutions on many of the puzzles. Level 29 was probably the biggest example of this, just angling a spring to hit the ball over all the junk and then a ramp. It didn't warrant a hard badge with those in my opinion. Also, it's kind of buggy. If something doesn't work, sometimes all you have to do is hit start again and it will magically work. I know that's more like real life, but that doesn't follow physics based puzzle game playability standards...if there is such a thing.
Developer posted this AFTER I figured it out...annoying. Here's my expanded strategy. Challenge 6. Sacrifice health for first small orbs. Upon kill, immediately rush the 3 tiny ones so they are very close together on your ship (for narrow spread). This cluster should reduce a medium orb to 5 tiny orbs if hit at point blank. Rush your kills when able for more cluster ammo. Taking out mediums completely is more efficient than taking out the smalls individually or planning out combos. If you do the math, you have 56 splits to do. That means that you need a spit a second (not to mention those initial seconds waiting for your first tiny orb). Keeping the clusters you're making in mind, don't take too long to get and take a shot. Provided there is moderate ammo floating around, take your shots as they come. You'll make up for the loss of a ideal cluster shots in thinking time and probably a small orb to get another chance at one. Once I figured this out, I think it took me about 5 attempts.
1950s Air Marshal: "Alright men, many of you may remember taking down the German airship in 1945. One plane played decoy while the other tailed the airship and did 180s to maintain distance. It's a very proven and effective tactic...But, we're not equipping you with the 180 ability today, but rather enormous amounts of speed to use against an incredibly slow target. Well, 'Tally-Ho!' and all that."
Needs even higher quality settings to bog/slow down the game. "You are now running at 1 frame per second. Hard badge is guaranteed, but will take about 2 hours starting at 900"...On a more serious note, maybe some targets that give you an automatic boost in speed.
Fun, but not very challenging. Not that I want to give up the points, but that may have been the easiest "Hard" achievement I've gotten. That should've been a medium. There was no real bonus, other than points maybe, to saving more dibbles. This makes me believe that some of the solutions that levels were created with more elaborate solutions in mind than they actually ended up needing. There was one level where I had to wait until all of my dibbles pooled in one spot before moving on, so as to not let them splat from the next dig, and I thought the levels were finally going to pick up a bit...but I never had to do anything like that again. Still, fun though. 3/5.
