The game takes forever to load, and has no preloader. I'll try to post an update with a preloader and more compressed music, and maybe an option to change filtering quality. And musical notes aren't all quite in perfect sync with the music. Anyhow. Game was done as part of a university assignment for a video game development class. I would've made a more standard platforming game but my team decided otherwise. Ah well, c'est la vie.
The level with military men shooting you and two helicopters is significantly too hard, and forces you to have both all the upgrades and a bit of luck. If you make it past the next check point the rest of the game only gets easier from there.
Best way to win is to put a tight bunch of cannons and resize them to be as small as possible. Since being really small makes you hard to hit, survivability is not an issue. Focus entirely on getting the most damage per gun points. The star burst special is pretty good, just aim at empty space so it explodes into a ring.
How I got the hard badge: Stay at ground level. When the enemy gets near you, jump and instantly press Z+X facing him. Took me a few tries but I eventually got 21 kills.
Sawblade is useless.
Reach is only useful if you only upgrade it on one of the two claws.
Zombie mash requires a mix of good luck and erratic mouse movement.
Not a very interesting game.
Put your laptop in power saving mode, set your firefox window to low priority, start something computer intensive (Create a Steam game backup), and die on purpose for every minigame other than the one with the three green balls bouncing.
If it wasn't for the ridiculous hard badge I would have enjoyed it.
