While the gameplay is nice, the mutilation of the English language makes it hard to read. Since it's a game based on reading, that's a pretty big minus. :(
Being forced to juggle is awesome. Too many Tower games ignore the problem of juggling, while this one simply embraces it and adds it as its own challenge. Kudos.
My repair drones flew away and therefore I died. .. This game is incredibly difficult. On normal. Spamming turrets doesn't work because then there's not enough money for repairs, and strengthening one turret doesn't work because there is no turret (not even main gun) that can protect you enough.
...... so, at the end, my life flashes before my eyes due to seeing an afro. I agree afros are dangerous, but I would have used my telekinesis to slam the door on the afro, making it into a harmless mohawk.
"The levels are too long" "it's so slow" "needs 4x speed" ** NO, you need to remove all animated objects from your viewport. That means, while you're waiting to earn money to upgrade your shrooms, you look at a part of the map that has as few animated parts as possible. Better yet, scroll the game off the page completely - it does run at 3x for me when there's no animation, and it runs at .5x when i'm staring at a bunch of critters.
The cussing helps build character because it's used judiciously and appropriately. I approve. * Some mild typos, be sure you get a good word-knower to look over any future versions. * The storyline is great, atmosphere is fantastic, combat is lacking, but I eagerly await part 2.
Fortunacus - you don't have to do anything to add badges; Kongregate takes care of that. You just need to implement the Kong API. It looks like you already have, since I can see high scores, so once Kongregate decides it gets badges, it'll have 'em. :)
If you want the game to go 3x faster when it's set to speed x3, you need to make sure there's nothing animated on your view area - meaning, get to an empty area of the map. This is caused because of the high graphics quality, and there's not much to do about it.
Buggy! Every once in a while a level will fail to start after pressing 'start,' or a missile will freeze, forcing the player to slam themselves against it to end the level.
But very cool game, very cool, i play even through the bugs.
The notation is much improved from the first couple of games (shudder), but could still use some work. Honestly, it seems that the notation doesn't scroll at the same speed as the song - some of the 'notes' are closer together than others to make up for the difference, and this throws me off more than anything else.
