At the start, this game felt incomplete, when i read that it was for the ludum dare, I understood why.
The game feels badly thought out. Level design is clearly made in a way to feel different for the sake of being different, doesn't offer any real challenges and feels like there are barely any obstacles after having enough jump/speed powerups.
The health powerups are too abundant in the start of the game, making me near invincible after only a short while. This with the huge amount of save spots around the map makes the game too easy and doesn't punish you in any way for making mistakes.

Am I wrong to think you didn't fix the random number generation for outer numbers? The random number generator in AS3 doesn't give you a truly random number. The 2 outer numbers are less likely to be picked, this is because it generates a random number between the two limits and either rounds it up or down, leaving the outer 2 numbers with a 50% less chance of being picked, look it up.
I really hate these kinds of games, and this game just proves why. "Game" makers who make these kinds of games think that obscurity is the same as mystery, which it's not. Parts of this game have no hints as to how to continue on, and there's no real story. I liked how you used the wizard of oz story, but there was no real reason or explanation to do anything.
Nice graphics/feel/music though. Next time make a real game please.
Too easy, had the hardest mode on my second try. basicly build up cash asap, use special to clear when the first 'though' appears then spam survivalists and specials.
couldve been better if some form of 'leveling' was implemented, still had a good 30 minutes of fun with this.
Pretty cool game, I did miss some simple playability thingies though. The menu feels bugged (doesn't always respond) my controls would get stuck or not respond from time to time, if you put in achievements, make it more obvious (like when you earn them, you get a pop up). Also: get a finishing screen. nothing sucks more than a game that doesn't show it when you've finished it.
We're not using AS3 or the standard flash random() function :)
