I start the game, I loot hidden objects, I head into the forest, I initiate combat... and combat doesn't happen. No buttons, no timer if there is intended to be a timer, no nothing. Using Firefox.
This game has all the hallmarks of being produced by a republican idiot who is overly confident that their particular brand of idiocy is superior and actually benefits the nation. There are too many false assumptions inherent in the game, too many bleepers, bloops and blunders, and not enough canned republicans as an export crop to the EU.
"While you were gone, your 'family' (most of whom should probably be executed for treason) took all of your incremental improvements on others' patents and all of your intellectual property rights, and all of your marketing and business ideas, worth billions."
Excellent plot, mediocre reading material suitable for later elementary school levels and perhaps middle school. Wonderful pathfinding. The combat is mindless grinding, though, detracting from the overall quality of the game. The choices offered in the early levels are a bit too "nerfed", although I'd suggest product testing on the 9-13 year old set to see what they have to say about it, as well as pricing to match their pockets.
This is thoroughly boring compared to installing network cards, cameras, infrared sensors, radar and sonar on tanks and running them remotely, sans humans.
This needs to be an online RPG with multiple class choices (Diablo series, Elderscrolls), limited but significant storylines that unlock gear and skills, but mostly PvP play, preferably using the Elderscrolls engine. The time for text based games is long past, bring on the persistent online 3D worlds!
On an 'antique' monitor, and I am speculating on wide flatscreens, it is difficult to pay attention to monster drops on the field, but otherwise, an interesting blend of antique genres.
For pillage missions, ogres need to search ALL spaces of the assigned 'rooms' in a dungeon. It is not encouraging to spend a quarter of a day or more to have them return empty handed because they can't locate furniture in mines, farms and any other 'room' that is often segmented in non-adjacent tiles. Nor can they be assigned to pillage the Vault. >:(
