Bowguns are terrible. They do not scale at all and are far too slow. Turn on the mods that make the game easy until you unlock the noble class (level 10 sheriff) and a bunch of badges. Badges make the game easier the next time you remake a character, so it is VERY MUCH SO worth it to keep remaking characters. Make sure you spend points in accuracy bonuses... It's probably why you can't hit anything (I get headshots on every hit with my assault rifle).

The concept is NOT HARD AT ALL. Basic highschool geometry will give you all the know how you need to be a pro. Press W to "lock on". If you suck bad, just press W all the time while strafing and you'll do alright. Pro's will use leads so they don't waste their time and win faster. Not hard.

A few more hints: If a guy is off the screen, make a radius on the edge and then pull back in to get the blast radius off the screen. Missiles only come when you kill the square satellite things, so be ready for missiles when you kill them. Finally, when you're fighting any enemy that shoots bullets, remember that you can destroy those bullets (that's especially useful for the battleships that shield themselves).

It really isn't that hard. Just time your blasts and you'll be fine. For upgrades, get the regen upgrades first, then get halfway up the blast radius upgrade, then max out health/armor. You should do alright. During the last boss fight I shot at the glowing circle (at the head of the boss) with medium sized blasts, that seemed to work well on him. Just kill all the other little units before you move onto him (you'll basically stop taking damage).
