After completing this game, I'm left disappointed. This game is, by no means, bad, but I just feel that there are more yet to be accomplished by the developers to improve the overall quality of the game. Some balancing issues needs to be done, namely the starting firepower of the heroes in later missions, which combined with massive clusters of enemies, do seem a bit unfair to the player. Also, I feel that the missions needs to be split up so that they don't make players feel repetitive, especially given the low variety of foe and their tactic (which is almost always swarm you with more dudes). I'd also like to see more conversations and interactions between characters, since I hardly get to know the characters even after completing the game. All in all, not bad, but needs polishing.
Wow, you really wasn't lying about the "devastating array of magic attacks". Still, the game is really fun, with a charming voice actor and nice music. I look forward for a sequel, with more of everything. That, dear developer, would be a blast.
Developers want to make money from their games, this, for me personally, can be tolerated. I play Clash of the Dragons and Versus Umbra, and I enjoyed both so much even if they have in-game feature to let you spend real cash. Why? Because spending real cash in those games only enriches the gaming experience (e.g. the extra campaign in VU, which the main campaign can be easily completed without spending a penny.) This game however, lets cash players easily dominate others, and those who don't spend money on this game are constantly reminded that they can pay to win. That is quite cheap in my opinion.
I would like to praise nerdook for making the in-game song a bit different to match to the season shown in game. It doesn't affect game play much, but it shows that nerdook is creative (lol actually every single game of his is a solid proof of his creativity.)and cares about even the tiny little bits of his games. This is a sign of a good and responsible developer. Keep it up nerdook!
