Maybe it is firefox ? But, text boxes are not aligned with their boxes. Also, you mention that I can check the fixed you did by looking in the devlog... well maybe you should look into the devlog button first! It doesn't work.
After some UI fixes, I would love to see differences between raiders. Maybe customize appearance by equipment is an easy fix (not so much goodies after all...)? But if you decide to work on AI-skills first... I would not mind ;)
Regarding text: That's a long-existing bug that has proven very troublesome to fix. It's constantly at the top of our to-do list but it's probably going to take some a while longer. Regarding devlog button: Is it possible that your firefox blocks "pop ups" from the game (should show in the top right somewhere in the address bar)? Regarding raider differences: Those will be in the next content update, most likely. Warriors more HP, less damage, archers more damage, less HP, priests somewhere in the middle. Regarding customization: This is actually pretty complicated! We would have to create new raider art for each piece of equipment. We will probably still add this in the future, though (but it's a low-priority feature for now) :)
Disappointing save system. I feel like playing this game. However, sometime after playing for 2 months and somewhere in my 3rd ascension (yes, I play slow) I was thrown back to the point just before my 1st ascension. Not more than a week later my account was reset. Starting with a few larva and no mutagen... stopped playing :(.
Do you also feel the urge to start a game of Master of Orion?
Oh, and btw, I hate the resource drops: another one, and another one, just have to pick up one more...
Should come with an addiction notification! I liked the first Cardinal Quest, for a run or 2. But this one (while same gfx, same sound, a lot the same) is so much better, Wow! Why you ask? Rogue-like = opportunity, and skill = beating the game. It is as simple as that. Rogue-like is mostly another word for "we can't balance the random generator". In this game, it is a substitute for "opportunities". My paladin found a tome: +1 stealth and another nice +stealth item on lvl 1-1. He ended up backstabbing everybody and healed by "dispel and judge" every magician, only to find himself dead at the hooves of the mighty Asterion. My mage got some evil laughs at Shiurath's lair when her enslave, charm & mirror image got very "inspirational"! I'm no Diablo III hater (I loved 1 & 2 btw), but in comparison, this simple & tiny game is so addictive!
Bug: If you and IA are left with 0 ships and no planets to generate ships, the game continues. I think the mission should fail at this stage. (In case you wonder, this situation can happen in mission 23 on 'hard' both jumping to the same planet...)
Came back after not playing for a while. Just because I notice the developer keeps adding stuff. I played when it first came out, when it was rather basic. It is starting to be good! Keep up the support, improvements Dev!! Your game will be awesome ;)
Please Kongregate, stop putting your stupid games by jmtb02 at the top of the list! Mysteriously, they always seem to score at least 4 stars!?! Do you really believe we buy that?
It is fun to read the comments of others. Seems like many are frustrated by the random and UNFAIR nature of the game. A "Good luck" was all you got when approaching the French coast on D-day. You didn't know what to expect, and you probably died like thousands with you... unglorified, unremembered and completely cold. I would say to all who expect games to be handed to you on a silver plate, and be fed till you are stuffed: Do not touch this game. You WILL be frustrated.
Very nice icon to draw you to this game. Unfortunately, game sucks: one strategy to beat all (spam footman, group together, spam whatever you want, win). Btw: Did anyone see any difference between the "Cursed castle" and "Great forest"... ?
Nice game with one major flaw: horrendous in-battle interface.
1) Please, add key binding option. It's a creature habit to hit 'space' for pause!
2) Please try some other ways to implement zoom and map navigation. I finding myself at empty places and not at the battle, way too often.
Indeed, I'm old and sluggish and my sight is failing me... but I would enjoy the fireworks more if combat would be a few ticks slower. Yes, SLOWER! :)
Finally, got rid of those pesky barbarians near the crop fields! What? Wait a minute? What the hell are these dudes? A breed worse than cockroaches for sure! Back up before the spoils are even brought home.
The game feels like pre-alpha... I'll put the game aside and maybe join again in half a year. More likely, by that time another developer got me hooked on a game that is stable, but more importantly doesn't feel like I'm playing a draft version of a nice concept.
Silly bug/Salesmen is a cheat!: Whenever you by an item from the shop and want to re-equip your "old" item, you have to pay again! Like you traded in your own gear.
One more thing: If you drink a potion and leave the room, the effect is gone. Can you make the healing/refresh mana effects of potions persistent through rooms?
Well thought out game: Congratz!! Update 5.0 has some nice changes, but why revert all stat upgrades to +5? I preferred +3 att over +5 crit most of the time... currently, it is not even a choice imo! If you are planning update 6.0... :) Than, I hope to see a little more diversity. For example different monsters and different map layouts. Ass kickin' foul hellhounds on your heels (makes speed somewhat more useful), or sleeping bloodsucking bats at the ceiling that you do not want to disturb...
