crash, the upgrades main influence is on the Powerups, not on the paddle itself. the only one influencing the paddle is "curving". The influence there is very small, but it's more then with the others (they influence the paddle too but at a much smaller scale). curve makes the balls scatter more, and when you hit them with them more on one side of the paddle, the fly at a sharper angle than before. its really helpful when you have the larger paddle.
Good game, although it sometimes is a little too luckdependent, and some of the gold medal scores are calculated for the super bomb which you only get after playing through once. for example, you simply CANNOT crush "Bunker with Schurtzen" in only one shot with the (normal) bomb scatter shot. it is IMPOSSIBLE. Apart from that, very good. Needz badges. 4/5
mesezuki, use the goggles from the tech tower. it'll scan the Mass of each of the Stone pieces, and you need the stone hand which you created to gain entry to the tech tower. Thanks for stealing my avatar, btw...
mertius, the different attack systems will show what they do after you upgrade them for a bit. the blue one is just straight, the pink one gets a spread shot, the green one fires backwards, then straight + back, then straight + back + left + right. the orange one shoots back, then diagonally backwards l + r, then diagonally in all directions.
If this game gets badges, they should be like this i think: 1. reach level 10 Normal/Adventure: easy badge 2.complete game on normal/adventure: hard badge 3. reach level 10 on intense mode: medium 4. complete the game on intense mode: impossible badge... and then, all the gamers playing that game will get insane. I do not think that it is possible at all to beat that game on intense setting. the peeps in the highscore list who did it did probably cheat. It took me about 5 hours just to complete normal difficulty! this game is REALLY FRIGGIN HARD dude!

that game is sooooo coooooool... Loving it... space age sure is hard, but the last level (on which you finally understand why there're sometimes UFO's abducting your enemies) is easier than the last space age level... a little sad... and the ending sucks. still 5/5 for awesomeness!
And there is more suckage than that in the game. when you buy your first satellite you will be like "Yeah I've got a satellite which helps me firing at those red cock-suckers", but then you realize that the satellite gets attached to the ships ASS. THIS IS POINTLESS!!!!! It's a f***ing 2D TOP-DOWN shooter, and that F***ing satellite will just NEVER hit anything except out of PURE LUCK!!! even in a 2D sidescrolling shooter, the satellite usually goes under, or in front of your ship, PLUS you may change the position of that satellite. in a sidescroller, that makes sense because otherwise you wouldn't be able to hit enemies that come out behind you, but in a TOPDOWN SHOOTER THEY MAKE _NO_ ABSOLUTELY _NO_ SENSE AT ALL!!!!!
then die without using the bomb and you will have enough points to buy another bomb. then die without using the bomb... you will get points for that, too. now if you just repeat you can get all the upgrades from JUST ONE LEVEL. BUT, even THAT is NOT ENOUGH to make the game any easier!!! the GIANT enemies appearing first on level 11 will just GANGRAPE your ASS!!!! PLUS, they do not even die from a complete Salvo of your twice upgraded Superlaser! isn't that what a superlaser is for?? destroying an enemy that can't be destroyed normally? The Bombs suck ass too cause the only enemy they can destroy with one blast are the F***ing Homing enemies - which suck cocks in hell btw - and the rest only take such minimum damage that it still takes like 30 shots to blast them away! SERIOUSLY, WHAT THE F*** WHERE YOU THINKING??????
OK, This settles it. This game SUCKS. First, enemies are just too strong, and keep getting stronger because they eat upgrades - so the whole game is about getting the upgrades before the enemies do. but that is IMPOSSIBLE! at start, you're too slow to get all the upgrades, and maneuvering SUCKS ASS! Also, it is very easy to get all the upgrades in a hurry. just advance a few levels, upgrade some basic stuff, wait till you can buy another bomb.
Ok, first I want to say I really like this game. It has all a real shooter needs. there're just SOME things i'd like to see changed:
1. Please include some sort of Background. just plain White really hurts my eyes.
2. Add more and different enemies, perhaps with different attack patterns too.
3.include weapon and/or Ship powerups.
4.The powerups from the special enemies give too little energy. you'll die too soon, in my opinion.
5.perhaps include bosses.
also, even if you are not going to do any of what i said, PLEASE remove that one bug I encountered so often: when you click the mouse at the same time you steer with the Arrow keys, one of the arrow keys gets "stuck" and lets you move in that direction until you hit a wall, or hit the direction arrow again. You're also incapable of steerning in the opposite direction, you HAVE to move in the direction of the "stuck" direction arrow. That Sucks a lot and got me killed often.
I find it funny that ALL those cannon games I have played until now have NEVER EVER accepted the simple physics law that a cannon will fire farthest at an angle of 45 degrees, given proper propulsion. really funny.
I did not want to be a jerk, but why did they give badges to this game if it is known that it has issues that which make getting those badges nearly impossible? please don't get me wrong, I LIKE this game. It's fun. What is NOT fun, however, is the way the Physic engine constantly changes it's own rules! that's just not fair, don't you agree?
Then please explain this: why, in the name of all that is good, should a bridge I built which STOOD FAST without moving ONE BIT COLLAPSE just because I started the simulation the third time, although I did NOT change it's design and NO WORKERS even ever TOUCHED IT???
