Every time I play this, I like it more and more.
Personally, my favorite weapon setups are:
With slow bullets
Gauss Rifle
M79
Splitters
The Gauss is simply untouchable if it's used in a hit and run way. Basically a sniper rifle on crack. The M79 helps diversify by adding significant anti-tank and anti-cover firepower. Finally, splitters help round off against hordes.
With fast bullets
Kord 14.5 mm
Flaregun
Frags
Simply put, when fast bullets are on, the Kord inherits everything good about 3 types of guns: The quickness of a Gauss weapon, the RoF and ammo of a machinegun, and the damage of a sniper rifle. Flareguns are fun to add napalmy-goodness as backup. Good ol' frags round off the selection nicely.
1.02 kinda sucks. The defining thing about EW was actually enemies with eyes in the backs of their heads. So either:
1) Turn 360 vision on again (or at least make an option to do so)
2) Make enemies see you when you shoot them. Seriously, I unloaded an Uzi at a guy all the way across the map and killed him, without him noticing. On hard.
Fun, addicting game. I'm playing the Fall of Tellunos right now, I'm on wave 12. Triple Clerics in the back row and a Warrior in ridiculous armor in the front. He's died once so far, but then I have Clerics to revive him. Anoint + Adrenaline + Cleave = many dead enemies.
@ L1NK1NP4RK: There's more than that. Have you beaten each level to 100% completion?
@ ownun00bs: I'm American as well, and I disagree 100% with everything you just said. The rest of the world DOES matter. Almost everything you own was made in either China, Japan, or some third world country. Americans did not invent the Internet. And just because you don't know where something is, doesn't mean you have to go hating on this game.
