So I went through the Heroes campaign with no real problems, started Ashes of Battle and was doing fine until the fight called Dead Man Speaks No Tale. I asked for advice, I was basically told I need to grind gold for packs and get lucky in packs with items with massive fire resist, tanky stuff, or soemthing that slows enemy cast speed. This is kind of disappointing since the rest of the game I could make changes to units/setup/squad speed and win, now I can NOT win until I grind, grind, grind, and get LUCKY in packs. :(
I'm not sure why people are finding this game so hard, I beat it without losing a round ever. As long as you kill MOST of the enemies, your walls don't usually take too much damage in a single round and you make more than enough gold to heal them most rounds.
It sure would be nice if the "End Now" button didn't make me lose when I very clearly just won and didn't want to wait around for extra time while the AI finished.
Ouch, deleted my file and restarted... now I can't get rewards for achievements in cities because they are all checked off from my old (now deleted) file. That kind of sucks.
It gets a little repetitive from what I've seen so far. But, I still find this to be a pretty fun game. The intro is cool too! Another good one from BerzerkStudio. :)
I also always like the Berserk Studio thing at the beginning of all your games!
Well, the first 3 badges were pretty easy to get. The impossible badge is very much luck based, sometimes to the point of making the game annoying enough to quit playing it for a while.
My only real problem is in Dark Cave (zone 4) I will fail on level 15 because if the penguin attacks the enemy before they make it to a certain point then it seems that the penguin's attacks stop freezing the enemies anymore. Not sure if that is intended or a bug.
Sooo I picked burglar and got penalized for using my special ability of unlocking doors without keys? Pretty lame to use a SPECIAL ABILITY and get penalized. Pick the ability you will use the least, if you want the most points?
So I pick to make a practice game after beating the tutorial one... then in the middle of that practice game, I'm clicking to pick an attack but right before I click something pops up and I end up accepting a battle on accident. So much for my practice game.
Level 18 is the only level that really gave me much trouble... but it's not so much a hard level as it is an ANNOYING level. It was pretty easy to know what needed to be done just a bit annoying making it happen without something screwing up. Pushing is annoying because if you push too fast it messes up.
