coolybtb, my only source of income is from flash game developing and I can assure you it is *not* required to sell maps/modes/advantages to earn enough money. The game developers are being incredibly greedy.
schonnel, you realize that the game developer of Infectonator likely didn't produce that music, right? Game developers either get free music or buy good music from artists. They likely just got their music from the same place. (Also, you know, the above developer's response.)
"I've been to his hotel. The customers were always complaining about the elevators." HALF MY HOTEL IS ELEVATORS, IT ISN'T MY FAULT. *ahem* I enjoyed that Theme Hotel reference.
Having a single-bar touchpad makes scoped shots impossible, with no way to change this. I would love an option to have the scope be toggle instead of hold.
I've been playing this game for about 3 weeks and have never once been "bugged" for tokens. There's been a small button in the corner and a tiny graphic about how many tokens it costs to buy an improvement. There are no popups telling you to buy tokens, no flashy arrows pointing to the "buy tokens" button, and no messages saying you need tokens to expand further.
Nyco, that makes no sense. Why would he even mention anything? This isn't a multiplayer game, if he was hacking, he could have kept it to himself. Seriously, what's wrong with you?
The stars disappear much too fast. I was 2/3 of the way down the screen when I game over'd even though there was a star beneath me which would have let me continue.
Kongregate gives 35% of the ad revenue generated by this page to Edgebee. This page has about 4,500,000 hits. Each hit gives Edgebee roughly 0.1 pennies. So they've made 450,000 pennies, or $4,500 dollars. It's been up about four and a half months. That's $1,000 a month from ad revenue. To pay server costs. And employee's wages. And business expenses. Now do you see why they need tokens?
For the last time people, Google makes all the ad revenue from the companies with the ads. They give a *very* small portion of this money to Kongregate. Kongregate then gives 35% of that very small portion to EdgebeeStudios. Edgebee has developer's salaries to pay, as well as business expenses like electricity and server space. Ad Revenue doesn't even support a single-player dev, much less an entire company paying for servers.
