I can't believe how AWESOME this game is. It's hard but not THAT hard. I mean... With some perseverance you nail it. The music at the end (the piano version of the ingame 8-bit music) is beautiful. Great game.
I have to say it... I used to be very nostalgic about games. How graphic whoring games with no heart and no plot ruined the great games of my childhood. Graphic adventures, games like Prince of Persia, etc. But these flash beauties bring it all back. And I don't mean the nostalgia. I mean the heart, the playability, the good taste, the art behind the games, the humor... I thank you all for these gems.
The game's pretty easy, considering that of how much I SUCK at shmups and that I beat it without dying once.
But I liked the controls, I LOVED the graphics and I could stand the music.
The only "bad feeling" I had was that the waves of enemies were all the same, regardless of the stage. Kind of repetitive that way.
Random powerups would be nice (x2 exp, 2x regen, kill everything on screen, etc). A couple of extra skills to spend your points in:
1. Increase the ratio of your ball sucking... I mean... erm... the distance at which you attract the green health spheres and the red exp spheres.
2. Make health and armor two separate skills.
Awesome game, summing up. 4/5
Really good game. To those who have problems with the music bubble, I recommend you listen carefully to the tune you have to play because the pitch difference can be a bit misleading to the untrained ear. I 5/5 this game because it brings it home.
You kiddin? Music's great. The only problem I find with it is that it's a very short loop and therefore becomes a bit repetitive. Maybe it should change with levels. Dunno. I agree that physics and certain bugs need be polished, but the overall is pretty good. I 4 you.
The game is extremely unbalanced, it's all about crappy creatures and almost no game control. Too random. Feels too much like a bad MtG clone. Worthless.
Even if the game seems a bit easy in Single Player, it's very fun to play. The narrator is awesome. Zero "lol" factor, which is important in a game of such characteristics. Everything fits. I like it. I five it.
Really funny. Except, perhaps, that listening to the music for the almost entire 1200+ secs it took me to finish the game makes me feel like the dude from In the Company of Myself.
It's a very good game and the story (sans ending) is quite interesting. The ending I dislike because it has a lot of outside elements bluntly applied. That's all I can comment about without spoiling the plot.
