Mmmmm. Meh. I hate to say lack of shop, but gaining levels without customization == simplicity == dull. Also . . . you're using Tyrian graphics, so can't you at least make the destructable tyrian buildings destructable?
The concept here is very much 'Battleships Forever", but BF was more of a sandbox game based on the concept of extensibility - content was nearly 100% player-created.
The peices used here to build your ships are, in some cases similar, but are NOT identical to BF ship peices as some posters have claimed.
For those complaining about difficulty tracking the highly mobile targets in the last chapter . . . this is why you're given a wide array of weaponry. Pick the right tool for the right job. Lots of turrets? Beams are high damage and cannot miss a turret. Lots of mobile enemies? Maybe you should use homing missiles. Tactics, people, tactics.
Targeting system is easy-peasy. No need to remember what side the enemy's on or what way your ship is facing - a for clockwise, d for counterclockwise. Intuitive for me.
I don't see any possible way to 'improve' targeting that doesn't eliminate the entire concept of the offset.
For those who seem to have so much trouble beating Loki, cheat if you have to. Hit ESC to pause, move your mouse, to a carefully selected area, and hit esc again - high-speed movement. Do it constantly to avoid being caught in the spray.
MrTSmurf - Pillowbasher is listed as the author on Armor Games, Newgrounds, and various other flash sites. Are you certain?
Meh. Turret upgrades? I didn't see any effect. The turret power-ups helped, but not much. I never needed to heal the dirt or to buy lives; I played for an hour and neither me nor the dirt ever took a single hit.
Dodger seems near-impossible to get. The border of the planets doesn't seem to be perfectly defined, so it's impossible to be sure how much of a margin you have between a crash and a dodge.
Problem. My fire seems to be consistently passing through many enemies, especially when they approach the bottom of the screen, especially at the higher levels.
