because the ship's shield never upgrades but the enemies get more difficult, the game is way too easy at the beginning, and becomes a bit more challlenging towards the end. One thing I'd like to see is if the shield restored faster if the ship wasn't firing. In the present game there's no benefit to not simply firing all the time...
game was running fine, but now when I clear a screen all the loot points switch from unopened to open, and I don't get any loot... no loot=no ammo= useless game.
@triface Calories burned is a simple factor of amount of work done, which is predominantly driven by how much mass you're moving, and how fast you're moving it. Show me a 15,000 lb person that can run 45 mph and I'll show you a treadmill that can burn 30000 calories in 5 minutes (assuming it can handle the weight). Also, this person would probably have a very promising NFL career.
good idea, but a bit simplistic, very easy, and not much creativity required. The fact that the cleric can heal out of line of sight makes it totally broken...
the last badge essentially requires a perfect score in everything except hostile arena (where you can take one shot, as long as you hit, then just die, and you pass). It's pretty much broken. 100% accuracy with no missed targets is totally do-able in the pistol challenge with a little practice, but the others are nearly, if not actually impossible. Has anyone actually GOTTEN this badge without cheating?
@ciwtank... as discussed earlier in the thread, your character has a maximum for each buff determined by mysticism skill... if the amount of that buff you have from your gear exceeds the cap, you don't get any extra, so pump your mysticism (by buying books or drinking tons of potions) and you'll get the extra bomus
especially if there's going to be future versions, there's a few very annoying things:
1) can't heal yourself outside battle
2) battles too slow
3) smithing etc. is very hard (can't make any 'good' items and I've already beaten the game)
4) I don't think the die roll actually is random, or there's other modifiers to 'hit' that aren't seen, because I repeatedly miss 3 and sometimes 4 times in a row with a 95% hit percentage against the toughest enemies....
especially given that you're considering multiple similar games on this platform, I have to stress that while a fun game, 6 of the 8 hours it took me to beat it were totally redundant watching the same 5 animations for combat, chest dropping, etc. Add an option to turn off or at least speed up these animations and combat PLEASE.... can't wait for the next installment!
I have to say that while I applaud the effort, the fact that that the author doesn't view this as a fallout clone (and not all that good of one at that) is pretty humorous...
a good game 4/5. Some suggestions: 1) Allow the AI for each unit attack "first unit" "last unit" and " healthiest unit". Presently, all units attack the furthest forward unit. If I have a mage with poison skill, it's pointless to attack a unit with only a few HP's left... 2) There are too many flying waves in most maps for Melee units to be effective. 3) Most of the 'flavor' skills (e.g. steal, splash, berserk etc...) are not strong enough to be useful. The way through is pretty much always to grind with Archmages, which is not as much fun as if each map had a few units that serve best on it. 4) Need more info before embarking on a quest 5) Missions are not distinct enough. If the mission description is 'kill lots of orcs' the waves should mostly be orcs, it's lame to have a 'kill lots of orcs' mission that's 10 waves long with 4 waves of bats, and 3 waves of other stuff, and only 3 waves of orcs...
