why must this be unity whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy :'(
Just out of curiosity... why not? For us as the developer Unity3D is nice because it allows us to develop once and then deliver high quality 3D games to a very wide spectrum of devices and platforms (Windows, Mac, iOS, Android, Xbox and PS3 - plus all flavors of tablets and phones). It runs reasonably well on low end machines, is easy to install (for the user) and easy to develop with (for us). It also doesn't break the bank when looking at license/development costs. When you put this all together there are actually very few (any?) comprable engines available. Flash3D doesn't (yet) have decent development tools and can't handle the sort of real-time networking we need for our online/multi-player games. So... Unity3D it is for us. Why not for you?
