So are the lost children a reference to something? I also thought that the last lost children you would find would be after you complete your house 100% and you and your wife have children. That would have been cool.
I found out I could click the shop's roof tent thing, so of course I just kept clicking. I can't say I was expecting a body (much less the one from Rogue Soul) to fall from the sky. Good job, guys, 10/10
I thought this game was going to have a "is a clone a human" type of narrative where you have the option to kill your clones brutally or keep them alive and work together with the same clones for the entire game. Apparently I was wrong. It was an interesting idea for a game with some clever puzzles (although slightly less than par controls), but you really skipped out on a beautiful opportunity for a philosophical and moral topic. Hopefully you can up the ante on potential sequel.
I don't think the numbers reflect the actual difficulty of the levels. The final boss being labeled as 50, I beat it at level 35. There was one level labeled as 12-17 but I couldn't beat it when I was level 25. This is in no way a bad game, but it could really use some touching up.
RPI, the class was called "Sensation and Perception" and was all about optical illusions and the way the visual system works. Very helpful for gamedev, even if it only counted as an elective. =)
This game is ok, but it needs some work. The thing that makes it amazing is that you're willing to listen to the comments and change the game using our advice. That's one of the biggest strengths you need as a dev here on Kong. Or any game really. This game needs work, but I trust you to do your best to improve it. Well done =D
For everything it is, this isn't a bad game. It runs smoothly, there aren't any noticeable glitches now that the toaster thing is fixed. The game itself doesn't really bring anything new to the shooter genre, but it's not boring. The story is silly and even though "I" didn't find it funny, a lot of other people in the comments did, so that's good. Overall I think it's a mediocre game that's a bit too easy. That being said, sequels are always a great place to improve.
I've tried several other games like this and failed terribly at them. For some reason playing this one I'm suddenly a logic master and can complete the puzzles with a bit of thinking... Have I progressed in my puzzle solving skills or is this groovy music stimulating my thinking?
It's simple, but kind of flat. Firstly, why does the grandpa character say his sniper rifle is slow but affective? It's way faster than the mom's rockets. Also, the rockets/catsplosive should have splash damage. The Sniper rifle should be slower but fire piercing shots. Lastly, a survival mode would be lovely.
If you add some touch ups to the game or make an updated sequel this game would easily be a 4or5/5. Currently it's a 3.
I'm failing to see the point of the boosters. They make you go fast, but why would you want to go fast if you're going to take damage from running into things? When you're going slower you have the opportunity to destroy all of the obstacles, but when you pick up the near unavoidable boosters laying on the ground you just run into everything. Cant you at least make the character invulnerable while that's happening?
Also, what's the point of the solo sections? It changes the entire pacing of the game to something much slower and less fun. You can't aim the gun so the bullets rarely hit and you just run into the aliens more often than not anyway. It would be cool if you could control the guy with wasd and aim the gun so you're actually, you know, playing the character? But as of now it's more of a bad running game.
I cannot for the life of me understand why you decided to make the rockets aim for you. Why can't you aim it with the mouse? Half the time when I fire the rockets go somewhere completely off of where I want them to go. Usually the ground. Besides the repetitive gameplay and annoying "LOL"s that the character spouts out, this is a relatively decent game. It's not anything new, but it's not bad. The firing mechanic needs to be fixed though.
You're intro story panel is..... Compelling. Truly in all senses of the word.
Honestly though, saving your pet gaming octopus named Fluffy? That's amazing.
I know it fits the story to have the town population decrease as you get lower in the dungeon, but there's no reason to go explore the town after you get maybe half way down. Even the shady dealer guy stops selling you stuff much too early. If nothing else how about paying some gold (that you probably won't use) to change your character's appearance. Even if it's only cosmetic it'll give the town at least some use.
People are complaining about the memory leaks and lag, but I feel like it's just as important to point out that this game needs a mute button BEFORE the ads.
