This one is better than the second one? I disagree. If adding mopre features means making the game better, than by all mean, it is better. Otherwise, it still feels cheap and underdeveloped. The soundtrack is mediocre and repetitive, the game definitely needs more songs. As a whole, it's hard to enjoy D-P3.
To people having problems with the Contra code... just trap yourself on top of number three and punch the level selection code for Contra... it's not about typing the _word_ contra.
It's funny... I was really enjoying the game until the author decided to pull a fast one on the final second of the last level, introducing the need for a completely new strategy that was never even mentioned... all of that after I wasted almost an hour carefully building the field for the final battle.
This has got to be the most stupid and illogical idea I've seen implemented in a game in a long time.
Congratulations for the epic failure at ending your own damn game.
This is a very interesting game, but there is such a thing as "too much content". Waves tend to drag on for hours, which overall makes you want to give up quite soon.
In general it's well made, but that only accentuates how dull the game really is. Another one of the thousands of games available in K that are only worth for people obssesed with violence. Otherwise, it's repetitive and gets even more boring as enemies become "tougher".
A nice game with a good vibe, but level design needs to be improved in future editions. Not too amusing reaching the end of level 4 only to find an ARBITRARY level block which makes you have to replay the whole thing over again. What is this? 1989 or something? Otherwise, recommended.
Games 1 through 3 were somewhat fun at least, but author seems to be going more and more for the "VIOLENCE = TEH FUNNY!!1" idea, which sucks because this game just falls short on every other aspect I can think of. Too many enemies, incredibly scarce ammo, claustrophobic environments... unless you're a kiddie who thinks violence is the funniest thing ever, you should stay away from this one.
There are lot of games out there that pose as art, but this one is actually the real deal. The subtle exploration of psychology is fantastic and well done. Combine with great mechanics, it's a must-play.
Unfortunately, this isn't superior to the first one. Still a fine game, but the sophistication takes away the raw fun from the previous instalment. If there is ever a third one, it should really focus more on the more simple, abstract ways of the first.
