I can't think of a fantasy-edged-with-science-fiction story with such gorgeous worldbuilding (and art!) since Carla Speed McNeil's "Finder" series. The depth of the world behind this short adventure is staggering, in addition to intriguing and interest-piquing. Everything from race and culture, to domestication and architecture, to spirituality and even the insular nature of small villages, is so much more developed than in any other game I can think of. Do NOT miss Marek Rudowski's blog, where you can see the artwork and read about the development process for the larger adventure comic / game "The Big Old Tree That Dreamed," AKA "The Trader of Stories," which "The Bell's Heart" (this game) is just a small part of! It's at traderofstories.blogspot.com and is a must-read for anyone who enjoyed playing the Pastel-Games-licensed first 'episode' here.
WOOOO! Love this game! 10k with a full minute to spare ;) but the heli at 13k murdered me. 7/5 : The developers should be awarded one internet. BTW, those of you who can only see the left side of the road need to reset the browser's screen magnification and lower your compute's screen resolution to play right.
To win Hard mode: all out defensive. not a single offensive card. AT ALL. only military type unit: max out guards (which build 9wall for 7weapons; also: thieves are optional) . Max builders & mages & schools, crystal+ & brick+, and ALL wall/castle+. Then tone down the more expensive cards until you have 75 (the !@$ minimum). Whenever you start in hard mode, make sure to have AT LEAST 1 BUILDER in your hand. otherwise start over. "+" if this helped.
hey for those of you pissed off at trying to get the hard badge, use 2 cheats together. You'll play regular up to level 19; by the you should have enough money. When you get there, sell EVERYTHING. then buy 3 tacks and 3 bombers and place them in pairs ON THE ROAD by clicking the "buy" button, RIGHT clicking open space, then LEFT clicking the road. Place the pairs at the head of each path and one pair at the center.
After that select a tower, press the tab key on your computer until one of the upgrades is selected. Hold the enter key for a while and the upgrade will be applied repeatedly to the tower. Do this for each tower for each upgrade (total of 12 times).
Congrats! just sit back and watch your tacks shoot at hypersonic speeds killing all balloons instantly (the bombers are just there to kill leads). Usually the balloons never even get past the beginnings of the paths, but if they do, you've got a pair at the crossroads.
