Encountered an invincibility bug which took me to the top of the leader board, the weird thing is that it suddenly stopped. I noticed that I constantly had 2 birds in my pack, even though I only had the leader.
1. Sprites suck, produce your own characters.
2. Story sucks be more creative, something else than kill that guy for no reason at all.
3. Fanboyism rarely produce good games.
Learn to draw, learn to make something original.
The game code in itself was pretty decent, even if he tends to sky rocket by jumping.
Seriously change the tunnel vision badge info to "Hit no obstacles" instead of "Take no damage" as the flash mines count tiowards getting the badge. And the controls are massively lacking in response, they have a life of their own!
Protip: This game is actually easier without sound (for me at least). Bugs that I encountered:
1. pressing right and continuously jumping somehow places you high enough to be above the dropping points for level two, encountered in level one. Pressing right will keep you at that level for as long as you please.
2. Spike markers in level three are too narrow in comparison to the actual spike, this is not a bug but a design flaw though.
Recommended for your next game: Test your game thoroughly before releasing and have a mute button regardless of whether it's a rhythm game or not. At least if the rhythm is as insignificant as it is in this game.
But for the love of [insert highly unlikely omni potent being here] keep making games and refine your skills, the scripting in the synching itself was rather enjoyable. The fact that you considered break in music in the rhythm proves that you have put some effort in it as well, take this as what I intend with it: Constructive criticism.
Oh and for the record I am both a fan of platform and rhythm games, and I do believe that cross-overs could be great... The problem is that this game is not. Definitely the last badge I'm going to get...
Horrible buggy game, with what i consider to be horrible music. Remember that when marking a damaging area (on the planet) make sure that everything outside is safe...
Minor bug: After defeating several enemies with Rumiko at long distance, the enemies got pushed a little to the right every time a new enemy came in. It reset after the enemy were almost outside if the screen. 1-player mode btw.
I found the learning curve to be quite easy, but I was a TCG-whore when I was smaller. At first glance I find some characters to be somewhat unbalanced, but I'm going to experiment a bit more before I comment on that. There seems to be a mountain of possibilities with this game and I look forward with anticipation!
