for the several hundreth time, Hydraulic is only avaliable on Armor Games' website. i went and tried it out, the psychotic class whose name escapes me atm is infinitely better.
Hydra, i just went for the flame heads first, then the middle. didnt have any trouble. if all else fails, level.
i liken this to doing a cover of a song: when it's good, it's okay; when it's bad, it's FUBAR.
0/5 for execution, 1/5 for graphics, 2/5 for the attempt. dont take this as a failure; take it as a chance to learn a lot from your mistakes.
game is good, but has a couple major flaws. one, as chorused before, it needs a 'send wave' button. for another, if you up the range enough on sentries, the turrets begin shooting at enemies on the next level. the problem with that is, the floor is in the way of the bullets, and in the mean time, there are enemies on the present floor that need a bullet or three in them. furthermore, the upgrade screen needs some serious love: give us turret stats, a description, and have a separate box to actually do the upgrades with. another problem i had was that the viewport was just plain too small. it needs to at least extend to the full length of the row you're on, if not the entire map.
long story short, this game really gives the feel of a beta version, more than a finished product. 5/5 for idea, 3/5 for execution.
1/5. great concept, but that's why god of war made the game first. your attacks all are too flashy; they make the character jump right past the enemies. furthermore, the enemies can effectively stunlock you, even solo, so there's no real chance to kill them if you do manage to stay in range. all in all, copying god of war to flash and changing the name to avoid copyright problems was a great idea, but leave it to the guys that actually get paid to do this, and have multiple years to do it in.
i love how everyone who has trouble with it rates it 0/5 and says it sucks.
man up, people. admit the fact that you're too stupid to figure something out, and admit that this game is better than 90% of the stuff on the internet.
