1st try on hard - almost lost but pulled through in the end.
1st try on harder - wtf? 48 days and I must stop. Last attack cost 3 squares and 5 people (including suicides same day).
Level 17 to beat first 14 with brilliant rating and 15th with good. Took me level 20 to beat last with brilliant. What I discovered is this: top path Blaze temple on high ground with 2 ballistas above and couple of crypts next to high ground (one chill, one mana). The delayed reaction of towers lets balistas and temple to fire and hit ninjas level 39 while they're cloaked. Also they hit lvl40 ninja so you only need 4 meteors to kill him after that. Bottom row, chilling crypt on high ground and 3 balistas above it do splash dmg too. Good luck.
Has anyone else noticed how it closely resembles old PC game Raptor? It's like a toned down, stripped down version of it. I bet the author was a fan of that game and used it as a blueprint for his flash version.
@Nainsell nailed it! Just to add, Kreds can be donated to help developers of some games that you end up liking a lot, unlike this game (among others) where their purpose has shifted to extracting cash from players in return for perks. This is unethical.
@alien4115 You can beat arcane guardian whenever you unlock that level and feel ready to beat it - the one by the river, level ID#16. I beat it when i was level 16. So as you can see I got the badge and as of this writing am level 32.
This may sound silly but is it possible to beat the game on kon or is it worth it to restart it on armorgames and transfer it here to get the 3 blocked skills? Thanks.
Some bugs: when clicking on a not-ready to build tower it always shows 3/4 ready on the placing icon; Upgraded starburst many times does not illuminate a larger area; 6-2 top creeps do not follow path; mouse over the upcoming waves - box is messed up; there may be a couple more...don't rem.
Two things that pretty much make it very repetitive: After a starburst and cannon towers are unlocked there is no need for other towers the point of the game changes from defending your castle to finding the spawning cave as quickly as possible and placing around 5 starburst towers and 4 upgraded cannons there. Then speed up the game and go to next map. I am half way thru world 5 and dont know if will play any more.
To all of you commenters, especially Demaldon, 3nd0fw0r1d, who speak like you played this game through and know what you are talking about. None of you have a hard or impossible badges! You only have easy and medium for which you ONLY need 10 missions on normal difficulty!! So don't say bad things about the game because you don't know what you're talking about! Talking about THEL towers as more useful than missiles, yeah right. In fact THELs are the useless ones. But maybe on your normal difficulty you can find use for THELs. Great strategy game, quite difficult 5/5, waiting for sequel.
@KsbjA Yea that was one of the first things i've tried and it was marginally effective. I built an extensive spread out relay front but it did not give a lot of extra time and was taken down pretty quickly (i did continue to rebuild it as it was being destroyed but the ship took them down very quickly). On top of that many of my missile turrets weren't in range (about 1/3 of them) of the ship when it attacked the front half of relays. So, if anyone cares how I beat it with losing only 1-2 solar stations here it is: Some relays at front (~8), followed by one solar and then another in line so they get attacked first; a couple of pulsers for missile defense next to them, about 6-8 more solars behind in a matrix form with 9-11 repair stations covering the front two solars, and a ton of fully upgraded missile turrets in between them, keeping in reserve at least 3k, also 1-2 more pulsars at top and 1-2 at bottom.
this is one of the most difficult TD games on Kon. Can't get past wave 19-20ish level 1. Sniper and frost, sniper and shock, sniper and normal don't work. neither does any combination i've tried. Any combination without sniper starts leaking early. The trick could be in choosing proper upgrades but it will take some time to figure it out...
Really, for the impossible badge, the last two missions are so far impossible for me. I can get the mothership down to about 40% with 9-10 fully upgraded missile towers and 4 pulsars for defense from its shots. 5-6 THELs with a ton of backup power and when they lock onto the ship dont do a lot of dmg and the base is destroyed much quicker...i've done elaborate networks of conenctors just to buy some time but same result. It's rather frustrating at this point. Any ideas? Crazy difficulty, last 2 levels.
Two things: the game sometimes (2 out of first 4 games i've played) seems to forget to end turn, it happened against a live and a comp opponent when it was their turn and all units moved. It is rather annoying b/c after waiting for a couple of min I reloaded the page and it counted as a loss (all buttons on screen were inactive). Second, I also wondered what the flashing comp icon meant.
i beat the bonus map, the one in the top left in main menu, twice and it still does not register. Did not have a problem with the other two badges...Is there some kinid of extra option you need to check/uncheck for that map??
Is block totally useless? I dont get it how it can be used at all - the enemies keep on attacking, and you just have to hit and run all the time. Charge, hit, hit, run and heal then repeat...is that the whole game?
Yea, after 20-30 attempts, I got them with tons of missile towers 1st level, and 4 fully upgraded down the path so I wouldn't have to sell them (and more dmg), also a few intermittent pulsers and about 4-5 repair places. I just had to be careful to build at correct places. Then on crazy difficulty those two levels get really rediculous..
