Not bad. Had to use the walkthrough for level 10. Beat level 5 in 5 seconds (might want to add more spikes in the beginning) and level 20 with only 2 boxes!
Well, it's portal. So it almost has to be great. As others have said, the controls take some getting used to. Big thing for me was moving SO MUCH faster in the air than on the ground. Passed a few levels with blind luck in the precision movement department. Other than that, it was too darn short!
I've always liked games like this. Not sure if this was intentional, but if you click the squares on the lower half, they disappear. I completed one level without using a single command line :O
I can't tell if this game is buggy, or just completely ridiculous. Sometimes I could double jump, but usually I couldn't. And after taking a penalty on spikes the first time, I could then walk on them. Very weird. Still, despite not knowing what was going on, I enjoyed it. Guess that's what really matters.
Game keeps crashing on the "there were obstacles" level. From what I did play, it's not bad. Seems like it will get quite repetitive though. Also, moving the green block up and down can make the level scroll ridiculously fast, adding an annoying artificial difficulty.
Thanks for the feedback, I am not sure why your game crashes there as I've played through the whole game. Really sorry that it didn't work though :c. There are only 10 levels in the game so it ends soon enough and I know about the green block problems, I am not sure how to get that fixed honestly.
My two cent: 1) Using a different color to signify the math boxes would help a lot. Trying to differentiate between black lines and slightly thicker black line for extended periods of time = eye strain. 2) Some pre-generated numbers would go a long way to letting even half the people who try this play for more than 5 minutes. There are usually 3 or 4 solutions to the math equations, which all use different numbers. Even the ones that you can figure out (which for me were multiplication boxes with 2 numbers) you still have to try and figure out what goes where. I'm sure it can be done, but it would take massive amounts of trial and error. And there's no way to differentiate between a number you know and a number you think might go in a space. TLDR: This hurts my eyes and takes way too much time/guessing.
Fun game. Would have liked just a bit more story, but it's fine as is. I do think special could use a toning down, especially since the AI blind picked (neither had been revealed) both 2/3 games.
