I literally gave up on getting the hard badge on the final level because it was taking way too long. Not only do the later levels take up to half an hour to complete, but I spent a solid 20 minutes fighting the final boss and only was able to deal about 1/10 of the damage required to defeat him. There comes a time when it's just not fun and not worth it.
By holding the "down" button and then doing just an "okay" job flying the king, you can get the medium badge on the first try super easily. Don't worry if you only have about 30,000 points after the "timer" runs out. The king will fly and eat the cakes, and if you're accurate enough, you can get to 40,000 fairly quickly.
Quick tips on how to get the hard badge: Always avoid "yellow". Once the screen gets crowded, literally stay away from the enemy hordes, dash in quickly, kill 5/10/15, then dash back to the sides of the screen. Once the screen gets crowded enough, it's a pretty good idea to just never stop "dashing". Good luck!
I love how chaotic this game can get after a couple minutes, when, if you're a little slower at killing enemies (like me) the entire middle of the map gets crowded with them and you can get insane combos by dashing in quickly and slicing through hordes of them. Good times.
The badge should probably be called "easy". I beat the game in about 5 minutes and only died about 3 or 4 times. Good game, and fun enough to play for the time I did.
So I'm about to get the hard badge, and suddenly, my browser crashes.
