Ultimately, I feel that the first one was better. Not only did it have different layouts and a menu to select places from, but was nowhere near as glitchy. My fish FLEW BEYOND the background and onto the rocks, then bounced BACK up beyond the sky and into the place I jumped from. And let's not get started on "hopping" between islands...
Great concept but it primarily relies on good fortune and fairly frequent enemies. I had no money as I passed by two Golden Ticket trade spots, a Life-span, and an Armor store before I faced another enemy.
Lovely. Sister has a more unique style to her look than everything else. Considering everything else is mechanical, this works. The ending was a bit chilling and I could see Father being a manipulative creep miles away, but this short story was great. I'm hoping that Robby survived as indicated by the points screen... We can't let Sister be hurt by anyone, especially not Mother and Father!
The first one was fun but I didn't care much for the Ice Climbers / Kid Icarus constantly-moving-up screen level style. The mixture of RPG, Platformer, and Shooter elements was neat though. This one took what I liked from the first and made the "moving screen" an optional part. This makes me a very happy person.
