its great how the damage works, as I just finished the game after running out of both shields, armor, and boosts, and a single mine took out my fuel tank, so I was falling through the air getting pieces of me ripped off. When I had barely anything left on me, the end comic showed me flying without a hull. fun.
it seems like the more expansive the unit, the more likely to blow itself up... In fact, my heavy chopper and artillery both died at their first levels... ow.
hmmm... I made it to the second area, but only left because I couldn't hold them off enough as they had completely destroyed my wall, and 3 days into area 2 I still had no jackhammer, just 200 shells. Then the game refused to give me any assault rifle ammo or grenades, so I was stuck fighting off hordes of platypuses and scorpions with only the extremely underpowered rifle and no wall whatsoever...
ow.
@GeneralWarthog
I don't know, but they are too inaccurate in this game to do much against towers.
the way to fix it would be either increase accuracy, or just increase damage.
I was going to say a few more general tips, but I am getting -s so I won't. Besides, I could always start/use a forum for strategies.
to add to my tip, it is wrong, catapults are terrible against towers, but great against the special defensive units. also, they don't get 4-6 kills per volley, more like 4-12.
so they still are not overpowered, just don't send them against towers.
Tip on catapults, it seems that if you get the right number, then they work great. From my experience, that is 3. each volley seems to get 4-6 kills, totaling at around 30-50 in a standard battle. Also, they rip apart towers, so I don't think they are very underpowered, you just need to learn how they are used right.
guys, remember, if all else fails, just try the next button.
stuck on churches? just press 'r'
r creates priests, giving the churches meaning.
plus this so people stop complaining.
all of these comments seem to fall in 4 groups, complainers, people complaining about complainers, people joking about how they died, and, the smallest of all, people making actual judgements for the game without ranting about friendly fire or some other crap.
anakin, it is called a leveling system, every weapon is good in it's own way, for it's own purpose. I prefer the railgun, as a headshot is an insta-kill on unarmored enemies, and it has unlimited penetration. however, you dont get much ammo and it is slow to fire.
They made a sequel! they did a good job on the campaign, though if I was to say one thing, I REALLY miss being able to set people's health very low and play with only pistols.
great game, but if i was to suggest one thing, it would be a unit cap. on the Europe level I keep getting destroyed when the enemy makes a stack of almost 300 units and not only kills my ally, but hits me from behind. Not a major cap, understand, just maybe, 150? because from my experience, every time I manage a stack of about 200+ It becomes unstoppable. Other than that, It is a fun, addicting game. (I just don't know which is harder: baby-sitting a friendly AI or fighting 2 teams of 2 at once, I have yet to finish either.)
hmmm, I decided to play until I managed to get sevral turrets on every emitter. Yhen I pressed survival. After about an hour of building each emitter instantly spawned a wave of creepers that reached the hight limit... from the lowest area of the map.
Long story short... My survival time was about a minute.
That logic is infallible.
