Good idea but partly spoilt by things people have talked about.
Also seems to work fine in the menus, but then hangs horribly on level loading and randomly when playing.
Played a bit more. Interface is clunky, and there isn't really anything that's actually fun - story or gameplay wise. The best thing you could say is that it looks fairly good, and lets you hit things until they die.
More frustrating than fun. Its very hard to dodge many attacks. It seems like the developers saw this, and just added lots of extra lives to compensate - so now getting hit isn't that much of a big deal, which defeats the point really.
Also, enemies shoot through rocks, controls feel unresponsive and game lags on a fair system.
Would be closer to 5 stars if archers actually fired at enemies, not just by your gate. And having to rebuy armies between levels? What, they ddecide to go on holiday in the middle of a war? Really annoying.
I want to give this at least 4 stars, but have to go 3. Poor performance when firing - due to many physics calculations for shells I expect. Also, when you include jumping sections, you don't want *really* low jump height and low traction...
Other than a few other things, it's a good idea - it could be a great game.
