I've seen a similar game with the exact same mechanic (collect team members on the battlefield, upgrades etc.) before here on Kong, but AFAIK it didn't have scrolling levels? Wish I could remember what it was called.

Try this on a less powerful machine, it's laggy and glitchy.

Very nice card battle game! I hesitate to call it a CCG because a) you don't really collect cards (the deck is given or chosen) and b) you don't get dealt a random hand from your deck, but rather play from resources. The way your cards and resources are laid out makes it very easy to see your tactical options. The other way this isn't your typical Kongregate CCG is that it has no energy bars. Instead, it is monetized by selling a proper multiplayer version for ~$20/16€/£14. Every card game should be like this, so show your support!

Interesting mechanic! I wanted this game to be longer.

Good athmosphere, art and voice acting. It's more of an intro than a full game, though, and has more pixel-hunting and less hints as to where and what to hunt for than I'd like. Tip: You find the crowbar next to a surface building and use it inside the building.

This is a surprisingly fun game to play, what with the bounce-back on melee and the angled ranged weapons everywhere. Drop balance and difficulty seem fine to me - easy is easy, insane is hard (= needs better upgrades).

Short & sweet "grind for upgrades" game packaged with an excellent maniacal laugh (includes maniac). If the game was any longer, the lack of strategy or even advanced tactics would be noticeable.

Very honest review, thank you.

Great orginal mechanic, well implemented, with conrols that are easy to handle. I agree with wobblycogs that the trial-and-error nature of the worm length target is somewhat tedious. If the game scored my level on the percentage of worms extended (100% extended = 100% score), that would allow me to trade off score for finishing the level faster (or at all), to maybe revisit it later.

To get all stars: be fast (spider legs), avoid taking damage, kill everyone and destroy everthing; for the story mission time stars, use weapons that kill the boss fast, ignore everything else (only do the main objective); for the side quest, I prefer the homing cluster (no need to aim) for the shoulder and the auto-cannon (allows loose aim) with the chilling system gadget; this combo allows me to mop up everything quickly. Though for a few quests, even that may not be fast enough...

Racing game of the month, short but fun! It's nice to see the TurboNuke racing game engine evolve, it gets better with every tweak that's done to it. (No weather this time, though.) Just one question: who nailed those tire stacks down? ;-)

After cyclomaniacs, this is wayyyy easy. Would've liked it more if it had save points instead of level breaks, that would've made for a smoother ride. And maybe more stuff happening on the way (even if it was only the balloon teasing me for a bit, just out of reach). I love the art direction on this game, though - both visually and musically, this is perfect.

It's not clear from the setting s page (which still needs work) that I had "mail notifications" turned on. In this case, this amounts to Knogregate private messages, and these need to be off: I definitely don't want a "you haven't been playing for half a day" message when I'm not even in a PvP game! That just comes across as creepy.

I love that the game design prohibits the "max out everything to win" strategy. This strategy game is deeper than it looks!

It's not really turn based because of cooldown etc.; the bot will attack if you just wait. HOwever, it's not really action either because I find myself unable to trigger my skills without any indication why this should be so - what am I waiting for??

The interface is clunky and hides information. In trial 15, mousing over the AP bar vs. mousing over the unit gives different info: 1/1 vs 1/3, and in case of the top templar, even 1/3 vs 2/1. Movement points are crucial, yet aren't indicated: the oversized skill icon (relative to the tiles) could have a number? No number on the health bar, either. The double selection for the skills is awkward, can't you indicate targets etc. on the fly as I move the mouse without having me click for it? And allow undo in this phase to give me way to back out of anything safely, without guessing where it would be safe to click? Turns seem an important concept, how come I'm at step 15 in the tutorial and have no idea how they work? I've been annoyed that skills "stick" and don't revert to move when I've used them. If the skill icons and bars were smaller, you could probably display my whole party at a glance. Are you trying to design the interface for PC/mouse and mobile/touch at the same time?

Developer response from rebeliusstudio

We have taken your comments into consideration. Hopefully everything is now fixed. And yes, the skill icons have been resized and it is much better that way.

I never suspected ground control on an Armageddon mission would be like this... ;-) I love this game over some of the others of this type because it gives me a different way of controlling the narrative than the "walk along" type game.
