bjhamer: "just use straight lines as far as possible and logic does the rest", well, the whole point of a puzzle game of this kind is to use logic and small amount of creativity to find the right solution. Logic being the key, and on some levels you need to tune your solution to save those last few blocks.
The graphics are too murky and hard to see, the time constraint does not really add to the enjoyment of the game and as you are spending most of your time shuffling arund the rooms anyway, it is pretty pointless to boot. In my opinion continuity did this way better. Still 3/5, not a bad game to play through once but not a highlight either.
Using a good gaming system I had no problems using the rythm to follow the music (well, at least not on the easier levels, I barely survived jingle bell rock with 90% accuracy).
It is also clear from the music when you get it wrong, so a very good game in this genre.
Cool idea, hard to handle but the gameplay just didn't cut it for me. Liked for a a few levels, bored after seven. While writing this it got to level 9 on its own...
This does exactly what it sets out to do with just the right amount of graphical and audio eyecandy to enhance rather than detract from the playing experience. A great caomputer solitaire. (PS! audio eyecandy? I'll let it stand.)
Like a lot of these games the choice of a hard to read tiny font and overly comples animations in the menu screen reduces playability. Ok if the briefing is not too clear on the fact when that makes sense for the game, but having to strain my eyes to read the texts is not fun.
So the third time I clicked on the same frigging bush I gound the mushroom?
Sorry, the graphics and sound and story are awesome, but the game is unplayable pixe hunting without a good walkthrough.
This sequel is overly compliated but has not the feel of the first game. The game board is cluttered, this might work in full screen or as a table top game but not int he small view available om Kong.
