Finally got all the medals... still missing some equips, and confused by Godcat's bestiary entries... 'lance of creation' and 'blade of destruction', both with a 0% chance to drop? What am I missing?
At long last... the epic difficulty lays defeated before me. Would've been extremely hard without premium items, I might try a run without sometime. Currently I have 295 chests and 68 secrets, but only 169 equips. According to the high scores, I'm missing 5. Anyone know where they are? I have SCOURED the map to find everything. Looks like a bow, 2 hats and 2 armors.
Side note, I've discovered that it's possible to get the good ending without killing the lights, yet the Watcher still berates you for killing them. None of the other bosses can be avoided.
Very good, classic Zelda-style gameplay. But I'm thinking, if this is a game about morality, couldn't there be a separate branch-off after you meet the Oracle where you don't kill the relic monsters? Kind of leads to the "Oh crap, now I'm a bad guy" scenario, and the only way to redeem yourself is to collect a bunch of trinkets? It makes for a fun game, but I feel there's much more that could be done with this.
My only issue is the lack of a save feature, meaning you have to complete the preview in one sitting. Of course, it gets pretty quick after beating the early levels about 3 times before winning. Can't wait to see the completed game!
Being an audio artist, I can really appreciate this game b/c I can put my own MP3s in and play them. Check me out on Newgrounds (same name) and try the Alchemist's Study, it's a really good one for the ruby achievement.
This badge has been plaguing me since I joined. Never been able to do it. Logging on and seeing badge of the day I thought "oh f-". So I thought what the heck, one quick run before breakfast. I got it the first try. ...What. But seriously, improve the music quality. I had my ears raped for forgetting to turn down my headphones.
