The direct link is: http://chat.kongregate.com/gamez/0012/9004/live/mushroom-madness-3.swf - you can find it by searching for game_id in the page source - the game_id is 129004 - change this to /0012/9004/ and then search for game_permalink to find the last part of the filename to use
The badge worked ok (I already had it), but it took about a minute for the page to update that a) I actually had the badge and then b) for the Kongpanion awarad to be recognised. I had the same problem yesterday. Hopefully they'll fix the lag at some point.
A couple of bugs: for a couple of puzzles (e.g. 19 and 24) it didn't register the solution even when it's correct; on 24 I had to rotate the last dial four times before it registered as complete - are you meant to solve the dials in a particular order? Similarly on 19, I rotated a piece 4 times before the puzzle completed. If you skip a level, but complete level 24 you get the congratulations message - it would probably make more sense to go back to the level select screen and only give the complete message when all levels are done.
A good selection of pictures. My biggest complaint was that the puzzle moved around when the cursor overshot near the edges. Would have liked a "full-screen" option where the puzzle filled the playing area and scrolling and buttons were disabled, press escape to exit. Not quite an original concept as there was a pretty-much identical game on Kongregate some time ago, but nice none-the-less.
Thank you for playing! The scroll function is because you can zoom in the game if you want to, but that is not actually necessary to play it. Maybe I should make it optional in the next build.
The game you are referring to is probably "Not to Scale", I really liked that one. My game is a clone, yes, I just wonder why I'm the first one to clone it after all these years.
To get the easy badge on your first race: go to "Set up Car" and set engine to max (top of triangle). Start the race. Hold down W throughout the race even if you're off the track. Don't bother trying to brake ever. Press Space to boost every time it's available and the track ahead is straight. I came first by some margin, even though I crashed once (hit the metal gantry).
So I'm on board the spaceship on its mission of destruction. *checks inventory*. Ah 1of9 - perhaps I let the spaceship kill everyone, then I resurrect them all? No? Sulphuric acid? Pour on computer console. "I must be careful not to spill any on myself". I don't want to spill it on me, I want to spill it on this computer. Ok then, pour on photon cannon. "I must be careful ...". What about pour on power crystal? "I must be careful...". Ok let's use my laser. *Interface element 'F' not available*. Ok, let's get on the shuttle and shoot the photon cannon with the shuttle's laser. "You cannot leave the ship...". Well shoot the cannon with the shuttle's laser from inside the ship then, it's just at the end of the corridor. *I'm sorry Dave, I'm afraid I can't do that.* (Goes to check the comments.)
:D Well, destroying the console would do little good, it's just an interface, not where the CPU's circuits hide. Attentive exploration is key - there is an uncovered circuitry panel near the power crystal, check it out.
You can get the easy badge by scoring gold on one song - I found it easier to "learn" one song than mess around with lots of them. Chaos Within has lots of repeated phrases you can learn and no instances of holding notes while playing the other hand simultaneously. I got gold with 5 wrong notes and a score of 14397.
So, it appears that half the first relic appears on the bookcase to the left some time during zone 1, and the second relic is unlocked by clicking on the top picture on the right column after level 2-4, and the third relic by clicking on the rabbit in zone 3, but how to unlock the second half of the first relic?
@ssateneth - there is a separate option in the settings called object filter to allow the item filters to work - this is off by default for some reason.
A tip about the AI - as others have said it doesn't play perfectly, but it does appear to be consistent in always aiming for the nearest available square, regardless of whether that will allow it to be trapped. **Spoilers**: enil ertnec lacitrev no yllacirtemmys evom elbuod tsrif yalp 42 dna 32 selzzup nO.
@Laonfait - what's your problem with this game? Surely you can rate the game here based on its merits, not compared with a different, more expensive version of the game available on a different platform? Otherwise you're basically saying that no company should release a free demo of their game.
For people complaining about saving, it might help to state what browser and OS you are using. It's clearly working for some people, e.g. it works for me on 64bit linux with firefox 45.5.1. I don't know how saving works in this game, but clearing cookies, browsing in private mode etc. could prevent saving from working.
Ugh, can't believe this has been play-tested to completion. It has potential, but the playing area is so tiny it gets completely cluttered with enemies, corpses, coins, fires etc. it's hard to see what is happening. Weapon progression is slow and boring, coins disappear too fast, coin magnet has too small a range, there should be an option to disable corpses, autofire should be more visible in options and not need mouse to be pressed, you should be able to shoot enemies that fly across the hills round the edges of the map. Reduced hitbox is stupid as you can't tell where it is - around the end of the gun? centre of the head?, centre of the character, where you are standing? One boring strategy is to grind early levels for coins with the pig until maxed, then you can ignore them completely, otherwise you have to constantly move suicidally towards the enemies to pick up the stupid coins.
