@bobsapdagger, the main thinking part of this game isn't the actual game play, like a lot of ccgs the majority or thought is in the deck building, and the monster does matter quite a bit considering there are some cards that completely shut down the other cards on the battlefield, and then there ARE non-creature cards that can greatly change the tide of the battle such as the kiss of the spider which could kill the majority of your opponents cards. If you want the thinking to be in the actual game play, go play a Strategy game.
