I enjoyed it though I found the controls pretty annoying at times. L25 is a good example. You cannot scroll up until you place a volt high on the 'tree' then the scroll bar appears and stops you from placing the connecting volt, which must be done quickly. Very frustrating.
While I like these toss-something, shoot-something, fly-a-penguin games I find the mechanics of this one are a little boring. You shoot straight up, no items, use your jetpack, no items, bounce your grandpa whenever he comes down, no items... then wait until you crash. Not enough stuff to actually do. The obstacles and items are just there to stop you when you fall...
Awful controls, I can't stand the way you actually drift backwards into things when you don't press forward. When you are going forward it's jerky so fine control is impossible. To top it all off the collision detection is horrible. You always see what you hit (or didn't) when you die because it pauses for a second, and half the time there's nothing even that close to the elephant.
Disappointed.
I like the concept but it's incredibly frustrating.
Relatively easy to figure out what you're supposed to do, but the slipperiness and floatiness of the blocks really hampers your control. It's always frustrating to have a game where the challenge comes from the lack of control.
I always love "launch" games and this one is pretty good.
I got the 3M' without nukes, the golden gun is far more powerful than a nuke, the only problem is getting more ammo for it (when you slow down) and avoiding the spikes, which finally got me at 4.1M.
< sigh > I really enjoyed the game until I got to the level with the 2 healers next to the 2 spawners. My strength is maxed, I have reasonable crit, and my destruction is maxed. Even with 2 destructions in a row on a single square it doesn't die. -.- Suggestions?
I agree with everyone that this is just too easy. After your first day just buy as much radar, fuel sucker, and fuel tank as you can. Then you can hop from platform to platform regaining fuel for tons of cash. If you don't make it to the moom/Mars on the 2nd day, then the money you make from that day will make it very easy to make it on the 3rd.
While the game is OK, I am always annoyed when I play up to a point and then am forced away from Kong to continue playing. It's almost like an advertisement for the game...
I've noticed a strange bug (at least I think it's a bug). For some reason mid-way through levels with more units, ranged units get something like a ten-fold increase in health. They still do the same damage, but they take forever to kill. My spells just take slivers off their life. Strange and annoying...
Also: if you want to auto run hold the shift key and right click the flash window. Release the shift key and then exit the flash menu, it should be stuck 'on'.
